Right now you essentially have the President of the United States encouraging the denial of the First Amendment,veiled in a patriotic appeal toward loyalty to a flag that was created so that we might actually be able to raise our voices in protest.

Modern conservatism in a nutshell: it's about giving massive, budget busting, tax cuts to the wealthy in return for "campaign contributions" and then shouting "but deficits!!!" when the democrats are in power.
Soooo the GOP abandoned the latest effort to unwind the affordable care act.
Are they really just that inept to have 7yrs to come up with nothing that is appealing and then go 0-4 on every attempt while having control of both houses and the executive?
Or is that they don't really want to repeal it because they have nothing else to harangue on to whip up the anger in the base?

I'm gonna go with they are inept. Of course, Trump hasn't done anything either, so maybe it is closer to nobody really wants to get rid of it, but they sure will talk about it.
Zero, the problem is they used the ACA as a campagin issue for seven years.
They voted over 50 times to repeal it.
They did not spend a moment crafting an alternitive to it until this year, and then only a moment.
