the thing about this is.. it sounds like using the ffxiapp program onevent or whatever was the only way to SOMETIMES pull this off with 9 SCH MV'ing max, so with no app this becomes as someone on BG said like winning the lottery, if it works it would indeed oneshot AV but the chances of doing it in correct relation to the mob's tic seem quite low

Even with app and clock event, people tried and failed. Doesn't solve the latency issue. People were aware about this way before app went down, people tried it with app (and not "casual" players), AV is still standing up undefeated.

I do agree getting 9-10 Sch to MV at once would be a difficult thing to do.. if your only using 9-10 Sch. However why not just throw an extra 9 sch at it and you go from needing 100% spot on MV to only 50% timed correctly. Obviously you cant do 18 Sch cause you need tanks but just to make the point and ask the question.

doesnt work like that zolan, you can have 18 MV all at once, but it reduces the duration of the helix so much that it'd be impossible to time that before the helix tic, just a waste

He's saying to get 18 scholars and deal with the damage like that. If only 5 can get it off because their timing is abysmal, then that leaves the next set to retry...Rotating them all out, see.

Otherwise let's just get 50 BLM, ESeal AM II AV, and rotate BLM. That's would be exactly the same. Also AV resistance to magic/melee increase the more his HP are lowered, that's also why you cannot kill it using several round of Helix. Either it works once, either you're ***, enjoy your 10dmg helix.
