I might have missed it but I haven't seen it confirmed in game, but we experienced 0 hand to hand weaponskills while fighting Glassy Thinker last run.

Have we established which Caturae drops each crafting material?

We have got the Moonbeam Stone from Fu each time, so can assume that is Fu's drop.

We just got Thinker and can say he didn't use any H2H in our run. He did use Pain Sync and even did it back to back 3 times after killing our tank below 25%.

I too can also confirm Pain Sync is only 20. I stand at 21.9 during that fight and don't have to worry about running back.

Most tp attacks are either 10 or 20.

20.6 is max player casting range for most spells.

Still cant find much info on card drops. bg sais 1 card per 5 objectives and thats pretty much what ive gotten before but i have not had any cards in my 3 last runs. 2 last runs ive finished 5 total objectives for sure but didnt get any cards. I wiped both times on those 2 runs on the last mobs when hurrying trying to get more time for second floor. i guess wipe cansel progress on completed objectives?

I've gotten 2 cards within 30 seconds of each other. I'm not sure it's deterministic.

Just wanted to toss in a tip for PLDs new to tanking Kyou:

His curse is potent, takes me 3k->1500 and my gearswaps take me to 700 HP sometimes when that happens. I honestly just //gs disable all after I engage the boss.

Another option, and what I'm going to do soon is to put a max hp check in your lua that doesn't permit swaps if below a certain point. On the other hand, I'm barely hitting the boss, I'm not losing hate and am never in any danger of dying while meteor, etc might hurt a dd.

I think I'm content with just being a one-set-wonder for this boss.

The downside is that I nearly forgot these spells actually had had a cast time D:

Oh and Aegis, but that was probably obvious.

Starting to take up PLD myself and I find this a major issue, everytime I cast something, poof 1200 HP gone. Does anyone have some tweaked +HP/Precast sets with Priority set to try and minimize this HP down?

This is my more or less fulltime set(capped PDT/MDT/BDT, capped haste, +94 enmity, knockback reduction). I use path D on body, C on others. Not saying path D is necessarily better, but since it's pretty much the limit of what HP can be preserved through fast cast I found it to be a good option. Total of +1084 HP.
ItemSet 338514

My corresponding fast cast set(+1103 HP, 69% FC):
Carmine Mask+1 path A. HP/FC on rudianos'.
ItemSet 341806

If you have reverence surcoat+3, swapping in that and a maxed pair of leyline gloves leaves you with +1077 HP and 76% FC. Further swapping carmine mask to path D would let you cap FC with +999 HP, which isn't a terrible loss.

If making a second HQ mask isn't appealing and you need the first for other jobs, swapping in dualism collar+1 and keeping the path D mask is only a 20 HP/1% FC loss.

If unwilling to swap weapons, you lose 14 FC and 80 HP. Your choice whether it's worth giving up a minimum of an additional 8 FC to get that HP back. I haven't found much of anything I care about my TP on as of late, but if your group relies more on PLD's damage then do what you do.

It's an issue that you have to combat Toralin. I'm only taking PLD because Omen's Surcoat and Boots are just too good to pass up. For a low mp set, you can use "TP(tank)" set Comeatmebro listed and

change eihwaz to Vocane or Gelatinous
change boots to the reverance + 2/+3 while engaged (idle, there's a few 2 mp refresh bodies for PLD or valorous/odyssean DM augments).
change neck to loricate +1

You can also "TP(tank)" in creed baudrier rather than Goading belt for 40 more HP, 2 more enmity, and some MDB.

The only thing I don't like about Comeatme's fc sets is swapping shields/weapon for fastcast because of the TP loss. No offense 'bro.

Also this is a much bigger problem with WS. I atonement basically in my tank set (swap neck and waist because harmless. A paladin's damage is rarely going to be the reason he eold's hate and atonement's damage (not aftermath) will never be the reason you hold hate (anymore, gosh I miss when it was a respectable ws).

Note that it's also important to try to maintain high DT during most casts but Souveran and +1 are basically the best set for maintaining high DT, high Enmity, high HP (even NQ), although I will say that the new Reverance +3 is...very nice.

do you mind copying your priority of your gearswap on that fastcast set you posted

i don't use gearswap, but organizing priority is pretty simple

if the piece is highest hp of any piece you use for that slot, set it to be swapped early(can set them all to the same if gearswap allows it)

if it's lowest hp of any piece you use for that slot, set it to be swapped last(can set all to the same)

any other piece, set to middle priority

shouldn't need any more attention to detail than that in most setups

Melee Kei definitely gets easier with practice and if you're lucky enough to not get Slow Spikes too often. Also has anyone actually seen Earth/Water/Ice/Shock Spikes on Kei? Of our 4 or 5 fights, we've only ever seen Blaze and Wind Spikes.

Just tried this now and he did blaze/wind spikes, fire day too so there's that. We went hybrid setup in 5 and failed.

@Omnys: Obviously reverence feet and a different ring2 is an improvement. Would disagree on creed baudrier(5/5 souveran doesn't cap haste, and I let my idle/dt set double as a midcast set to keep death chance at essentially 0). Chose goading over the other belts because it at least has some enmity on it.

Especially considering you value your TP enough not to swap weapons, TPing in less than capped haste seems foolish.

On kyou, what are your melee DPS numbers like, especially piercing?

We are winning but numbers feel low. Under 500 each with two piercing people.

I have three characters.

I noticed not long ago that at one point, char1/3 got a card, one objective later, char2 got a card.

On the next floor, all three characters got a card at the same time.

Initially, I thought that some objectives were worth more 'points' than others, but given your experience, there may be more than one 'category' of objectives towards getting cards.

Do you suppose that might be a server lag thing, like when you get Escha Spoils a little bit after the enemy dies?

Slightly related:

The floor objectives seem to weigh pretty heavily on the card yield. I wonder if time to completion plays into that as well?

It may be a while before I find a party for this event. Been going in and exiting on Third Floor without even attempting an Empty Mid Boss. Would a trio with trusts be able to take these down with lucky floors, specific jobs, etc? I understand the HP is tremendous and mechanics require great coordination. Curious if anyone has been successful or close to it with low-man.

I have been able to trio Gin with idris Geo, Yag WHM, and Myself on THF. we used 2 tank trusts and a RDM trust. we got lucky with kill all transcended mobs on 2 floors with the Gorger as 3rd floor nm and 12 sweetwater on the 4th floor. All the trusts died to Gin but I managed to tank/dd him down. It was not the easiest to do, we got lucky with our objectives and 3rd floor nm.

Really wish SE would do something to help meleers for once. They make this new content with everything all nice then make glassy thinker which has discouraged everyone I know from taking melee setups into omen because of how much of a PITA he is.

I have resorted to making shout parties the last 3 of which have been graced by that SOB thinker. 1/3 attempts were ended by someone actually wsing during pain sync the rest were auto attack dmg wipes. It is just really annoying...

Anyone have any tips/tricks to beating glassy thinker with melee setup? Maybe like taking one DD at a time so if one wipes the other can carry on...? Anything?

Dude he's easier with melee's setups then with MB or Pets because melee's can directly control when and how they deal damage while SCH SC's have a long latency, same with pets. The melee's need to know how to fight unlocked and time when they turn around and turn back.
