Jack of All Trades: A Guide to Red Mage
Can some 1 post Rdm specific up to date DD Tank sets please. My lil taru wants to play with the big boys but only has dnc and blu semi geard atm Rdm is next on the list
Tested Distract III on friend with no gear equipped. This left me at 476 skill because of merits and gifts. The result was evasion -81. In my potency set it went to evasion -158. With Saboteur -322.

Finally finished adding most gears, most sets just copy and paste 1st page now since I'm sleepy. Seems like Sequence/Colada(even without aug) Savage > Almace/Seq CDC in capped attack/acc situations. Although Almace CDC may win with less attack/acc buffs just because dex and crit ws performs better. This is with enspell, 600 enhancing temper II, 40 stp sam roll: Almace CDC: Max crit hit/dmg taeons. Sequence savage: Used fotias because I'm getting better number with fotia at capped attack. Murg with AM is behind and excalibur is probably further behind. I also just tested Distract III with a friend. My MND had no impact on results, and target's MND has no impact. At 604 and 606 enfeeb skill I got same results as Quendi210, -158, -322 with saboteur. At 610 skill i hit -161 and -327 with saboteur.
MND still has an effect. I also tested without gear but Gain-MND on with the 25 Bonus. It did lower the evasion 5 more.
So mind has an Impact, and What set did you use per each test?
I think you were really sleepy afania when u were doing thos sets ;p hmmm i see Epona's in Sequence Savage set,
I dont recall rdm can reach 600 enhancing skill , i didnt look at new af+2/+3 though , Atm i have 601 enhancing skill and i miss HQ ring, so its possible ^^

you can rep legs by AF+3 and you jump to 627

I also tested without gear but Gain-MND on with the 25 Bonus. It did lower the evasion 5 more. My MND without gear/buffs was 107. I had them equip gear to have that same value. I only did the controlled test for the base values. I think I would have fallen asleep trying to control it fully geared. Gain-MND won't do anything if you're already casting with 50 more MND than your target. Edit: I know it could have been mathed out but wanted to confirm a few things. Full Skill/No Potency. -130 Evasion(10 presumed from dMND). With Saboteur: 264 610+ Skill/Sucellos's Cape(Potency +10%) -143 Evasion 610+ Skill/Lethargy Sayon +1(Potency +14%) -148 Evasion I personally couldn't confirm 610 Skill with both pieces but Jimothy's numbers account for that. Can we test this on Diff jobs as well, assume Whm and pld would have a good Mind build any thing to keep a Bumb going!

I'll gladly watch your PLD die to Saboteur Poison II. Quendi210 said: » Asura.Jimothy said: » Quote: MND still has an effect. I also tested without gear but Gain-MND on with the 25 Bonus. I can confirm Jimothy's numbers and the lack of Gain-mnd effecting the numbers when full geared On his cast with 27 mnd LESS than me, he still got the same numbers as when I cast on him with more MND. We both got the same value, we tested together. -161 was highest non-sabo distract we got -327 was highest sabo distract we got both the highest numbers were with 610 skill, empy body, and ambu back edit: a correction (looks like he corrected the numbers) we got -158 on 604 and 606 enfeeble skill, not 602 and 606. We didn't test 602, we did test 595 but I can't honestly remember what it was, I want to say 151 but can't remember. Sylph.Braden

So 120 is the new base cap, neat. Would be curious to see skill tiers for each point of evasion.
:-( you forgot to test that on me.... but I did have my whm with me Mwahahahaha!

These were tested by casting on WHM adjusting gear to match MND values and a PLD where it was always dMND > 50... 610 Skill/Lethargy Sayon +1 and Sucellos's Cape dMND = 0: -148 Evasion/-314 Evasion dMND >= 50: -161 Evasion/-327 Evasion And because I messed up when I wanted to try dMND = 25... dMND = 37: -157 Evasion I also did 595 Skill using Uk'uxkaj Boots with dMND > 50 -161 Evasion/-326 Evasion Previous results show this being Weird. Strange that Jimothy got the same -eva on me as I got on him when I had 27 more mnd than him rdm vs rdm. I haven't been able to figure that out.
I even went in with a sch friend and got the same numbers (figured I would get the same numbers) but the use of gain-mnd didn't seem to take it past the -161 or -327. I didn't use the Uk'uxkaj boots at any point. Always tried max gear outside the one time I did 595, and now that you say -157 that seems more familiar to what I hit than when I said -151. Almost feels like once mnd hits a certain amount it doesn't matter difference of mnd player vs target. Then again the only results I have are from max gear with and without gain-mnd. I only toyed with skill a few times, but all the numbers were the same with or without gain-mnd for me as well as jimothy. Fyi, to all those that asked me about sets, I went through my lua again found a few typos and wrong pieces of gear for wrong slots. If you haven't spotted it I have Atrophy body in places I should have had Lethargy, I believe line 612 was a disaster as well.

You guys really don't need to test dMND or Saboteur or Enfeebling potency gear, all of that's known and unchanged from the last patch. The only unknown is enfeebling skill tiers below 610.

I might try to test skill changes tomorrow. I think it's probably still ~5 skill/1 evasion but I can't be sure til I check. Does temper 2 cap at 600 enhancing?

Can you post you max enfeebling skill set plz ? i'm still not sure to use my empy +1 over the AF+2.
Bismarck.Norminator said: » Can you post you max enfeebling skill set plz ? i'm still not sure to use my empy +1 over the AF+2. Depends on spell and what you're fighting. If you can land something with variable potency with Lethargy Sayon +1 most of the time then you shouldn't need to use Atrophy Tabard +2/3. |
