A Lore Question About Ulbuka And Maps

So I have a very geeky question about lore.

My partner and I were trying to put together a composite map of known Vana'diel (it's actually to put on a cake) and we were stumped by where exactly to put East Ulbuka area from Seekers of Adoulin.

We're operating on the assumption that 1) that big world map is still more or less accurate and b) changes to the Ulbuka coastline with Seekers of Adoulin were minor.

Here's the wide world map, with Ulbuka marked as "Far Western Continent":

I was not sure if it would fit better farther north (where the continent sticks out) or near the bottom (where there's a peninsula).

Anyone have any guesses? I'm assuming there's no updated world map out there.

I believe the general consensus is that Ubulka, Aht Urghan, and the Far East make a giant supercontinent akin to real world Eurasia.
With AU being placed like Europe, FE being placed like Russia/Korea/Japan, and U being placed like India/China/Malaysia.

There's three "continents" (one is a continent, one is a series of islands akin to Elshimo, and one is "the Far East"... Which has at least one small island chain that Reisenjima is a part of) that don't exist in game... Not exactly anyways.

The northern continent Rhazowa is within flying distance of Ubulka, meaning that Ubulka is either very far north (unlikely) or on the "southern hemisphere" close enough to loop around.

So the most likely shape of everything is that Rhazowa is like an Antartica on the top of the planet, the Middle Lands (main game) is "one half" of the norther hemisphere, Aht Urghan and the Far East make up the other half of the northern hemisphere, with Ubulka and the Mithra homeland archipelago making up the bottom half of the planet with no Antartica continent in the south. (So in a way it looks like an upside down Earth.)

Does that mean the big map is no longer canon...? Or that it never was?

I believe the big map was always Fan made, as far as I know there is no official "World Map" for Vana'diel. But I've been out of the loop for a bit.

I had not realized it was fan-made. It seems surprisingly specific for that (and also in keeping with their favourite sepia colour scheme for maps).

Does anyone know where it came from exactly?

That appears to be a dead site, like so much of the fandom, so I'll have to take your word for it. It's a shame. It was a nice map.

Map or no map we got the info from the ask reddit that they will make more expansions and content as long as there is subscribers.

Don't misinform please, they said they would "consider it".

With the whole team being made of about 5 people though there isn't much to be optimistic about.
