SGDQ 2016
Ugh, I wanted to go to sleep after Super Metroid..., but that secret incentive... I wanna see it :/
I'd like to be able to watch till the end like AGDQ.
oh ***, all the kill/save the animals ***is about to not matter *bites nails*
OH ***BEHEMOTH DID IT
yay SGDQ BBQ
That was bonkers.
it made up for the last 2 or 3 GDQs where the metroid races were pretty awful. in fact one of the last couple ones wasn't even a race
someone posted this on reddit in honor of the metroid race
"Lying is faster."
bonus run is gonna be tight, not sure if we'll make it
Back in my day I remember when Bonus Stream lasted a week and was free...!! Sadly, I fell asleep. Glad to see they beat last year.
I'm kinda wanting an SNES and SMRPG. Apparently AGDQ starts January 8th.
Anna Ruthven said: » Apparently AGDQ starts January 8th. They generally are the first Sunday of January and July. The tension between bubbles and bt was pretty obvious. GDQ chose bubbles to run fallout 4 when bt had the world record so he quit running it. GDQ drama was pretty minimal this year. I think the only drama was with the "Pacifist" incentive that was just flat out ignored even though it was met.
I actually love this, it's fun, to me, watching people run games, make informational or funny commentary, and watching the donation counter go up. I'm kinda sad it's over but I'm looking forward to AGDQ now.
AGDQ 2017 HYYYYPE!! There are a host of speed run marathons all year, though none with the production value of GDQ. If you're into watching, proth has a pretty good handle on even the more obscure ones.
RPGLimitBreak is basically the same people running the show. They hold events fairly often.
Also once a year now they run a Final Fantasy Relay race. Team Mog vs Team Choco.
First team to beat every FF game wins order this year was FF1, ff2, 3, 4 , mystic quest, 5, 6, 7, Tatics, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 12, 13, 13-2, 13 Lightnings return That set took them 82 hours and 40 minutes to complete. ESA is basically a smaller European version of GDQ and ASM is the shorter AUS version. Nothing too big for the rest of the summer after those. https://horaro.org/ausspeedrunmarathon https://twitter.com/esamarathon/status/651368297905188864 http://www.speedrun.com/esa2016/ http://www.europeanspeedsterassembly.com/ ESA Schedule: http://www.europeanspeedsterassembly.com/schedule Proth, do you know which sites that list world records are reputable/updated?
I found one today that had some Dragon's Dogma runs listed but it was like... only 2 runners for some modes existed, no rules were listed, and some of them were several months old. speedrun.com is pretty much the hub for speedrun leaderboards. any other smaller ones are generally unused and not really respected. can try looking on SDA
Dragon's Dogma is a pretty bad speed game and doesn't have a very big SRL community around it Anna Ruthven said: » Sylph.Shadowlina said: » Also once a year now they run a Final Fantasy Relay race. Last 3 rough? You mean the best. |
