I don't really understand your question, but something a lot of people don't realize is that you need to set priorities in every set you pass through during an action. That means idle, engaged, precast, midcast, and any post midcast modifications if you're doing those.

Are there any requirements for Gear Swap to leverage the priority feature to avoid dipping too low in HP between sets? I've tested with and without priorities assigned with no difference. Wondering if it's because I'm running on old files or something.
Only prioritize the gears that are causing the drop from from your FC set. Don't do all. it's ok to just use the same prioritize number. I hope this helps.

I currently use selindrile's for MNK WAR THF, but his PLD one is a bit complicated and doesnt actually have what I want, also I cant fully understand the way Aegis/ochain ara managed there.
If u tell me bokura has diff set with basic stuff like enmity set, flash, reprisal, cure etc with diff types like for example SIRD variation
and
a way to swap shield when I want to
and
a way to decide if im prioritizing meva or mdt or pdt
does it have variants if im engaged or not? If I want to DD or just full tank?
ALSO, if u guys think im doing it wrong im open to suggestions!

Anyone has a generic non-spell specific set for ennhancing midcast to be around 2.9/3k hp? I got some specific sets for the usual suspects like phalanx/reprisal/etc. just worried I'm using a set that drops too much hp.
Item requirements are generally a non-issue as I'll adjust it on my own once I got a benchmark for a high end set.
I've been lurking but keep only finding things that are too extreme into the enhancing and drop HP like crazy, tried to fix them on my own but think I'm just making bad sets...

Can't think of many spells that aren't tied to a specific set, but my catch all for those is just enhancing magic duration+ (Shabti cuirass +1, Regal Gauntlets, Ajax if you don't care about shield swaps).

I am not a paladin, but might consider reverence surcoat +3 has -11% DT, more HP, +10 enmity, and +10% FC for the casting. lose out on the massive Meva though if that is a concern.
Edit: and SIRD doesn't matter unless you cap, iirc.

Casting on slept mobs, primary goal is macc and/or skill for that specific question
The rev coat does have more int (possibly more macc depending on R)

If you don't care about losing TP, Ullr is a pretty clear upgrade on that. I found it not worthwhile back when ML first came out, but I don't think I put any real m.acc behind it other than what I had on hand and now we've got 10 more ML as well. I'll probably re-visit.

Raetic Bangles +1 would have more MACC and more INT/MMD (if those affect blue enfeeble MACC, which I think is unknown).

Hey folks, read over these past few pages a bunch while I've been building up the PLD and unfortunately I'm not quite solid on it.
If my Shield Skill is 451 in my basic tanking set, on a fight like Erinys listed at Lv. 150 where I'm tanking the Main plus Adds, which Shield is winning between Ochain, Srivatsa and Priwen?
Taking that a step further, is there like a blanket statement of a Mob Level and Shield Skill that dictates Ochain winning for Block Rate?

Ochain is always going to be the default block rate champ, only at around ilvl 139~ with reprisal up is where priwen can put up similar block numbers, though that may be true for some slightly higher ilvls now due to Master levels worth of shield skill

I have personally found with capped haste, which keeps reprisal 100%, and higher lv content Priwen works wonderfully.
I am interested to see how shield are treated in the 20 year anniversary update.

Personally I have tanked everything pre odyssey with the priwen unless the fight called for aegis. I now normally use srivatsa, but will still use the priwen at times. Just going off your example of Erynis though and personal experience you can use priwen. You probably don’t want to use reprisal because you are just super tanking and the spikes effect will mean when the healer cures you the adds could run to the healer. Good luck

I've seen a pld do 2.5 mil damage in ody C pulling them all in a row and spamming savage blade with burtgang. I havent seen an excal pld try it though to see what the damage difference is. Savage is still really good without naegling while tanking.

Doesnt really go into Knights of the Round though, which has an effective ftp mod of 11.676 with R15 Excal (5.0 x 1.68 x 1.39, with KoTR double bonus and 13% chance to do triple dmg)
As well as 40% str mod and 40% mnd mod.
Whereas Savage Blade I believe hits around the same ftp mod with TP bonus effects, but has 50%/50% str/mnd mods.

The triple damage proc doesn't affect WSs.
Naegling also gives Savage a 15% damage bonus and an additional attack bonus that's usually 30% or higher in Odyssey.

My question is Savage Blade vs Knights of the Round when using Excalibur R15
Excalibur is far superior to Naegling by multiple metrics, you'd be silly to use Naegling over an R15 Excalibur.
