Even if you replace rebates with credits, you are again half right. It is not the government who is giving you the money, it is your employer, with the government being the middleman.

Also, I wasn't referring to the IRC, I was referring to the law itself. You know. This.

In the law, it says that the individual will receive a tax premium rebate if they qualify to this specific rebate but their employer couldn't pay their share of the premiums enough to make it affordable (there is a whole table of how to determine the affordability of the premium, but it is complicated, so I will skip it because you couldn't understand it). Basically, if your premiums are up to and over 9.5% of your W-2 box 1 wages, your employer is charged a premium tax for the amount over the up to 9.5% "unaffordable" premium and you get a refund of that same amount. Kindof like insurance giving you a rebate for their premiums being too high. Only issue is, you have to A) apply and B) qualify for the rebate.

That is in the code. You did not reference or mention half of it, so, like I said, you are half right.
