Final Fantasy - The Best And Worst?

I think FF7 was a good game, not the best. This video sums up my thoughts on it.

- The best game? i'm going to go with ffxi. I've been playing it since it came out, and have had a blast. 2nd would be FFT
- The best lead character? hmmm.... i'd say 8. squall plays the part of a leader, and he does it fine.
- The best support character? (Basically any good character who you can party with, who is NOT the lead character. I do not mean support like a Mage.) auron i'd think
- The most evil villain? ff7
- The game with the best music? ff8
- The game with the best battle and level system? i liked 12 a lot more then some others. i enjoyed ffx lvl system tho.
- The greatest special ability? (2 hours, Limit Breaks, Overdrives, Trance etc.) really i liked 7 and 8 the best. probably 7 more.
- The hardest boss fight ever? PW or AV b4 sch i'd think.
- The rarest item ever? pink tail ff4...
- The rarest fight? princess flan from ff4
- The hardest weapon to make? *** never gotten lulu's thunder challenge though 4 play thoughs.
- The best main storyline? i enjoyed 7 and fft the most.
- The worst main storyline? ff13 >.>
- The best jobs? probably a question for a ffxi person. i'm going to go with drk since its one of my fav jobs for dd.
- The worst jobs? touchy subject. i have a lot 99 well equipped. i'd say ATM maybe rdm. it had it's moment during a lot of the games history; like tanking ect. but i think it's times done atm.
- The most pointless quests ever? ffxi's starter quest. trade a paper to an npc for 50gil.
- The hardest quests to complete? idk about hard quests, but i found the past mission quests to be really long and boring.
- The biggest spam move ever? (As in, you repeat the move constantly for an advantage) rdm/drk stun >.>
- The biggest glitches that benefit you? i've never done any glitches that benefited me in any way. But i did find it fun to do the whitesand beach ocean glitch back in the day.
- The weakest party character ever? (Can be any character who you can "control" in a party) edward the bard lol. get him low hp and he hides.
- The hardest end boss? crystal mission final boss back at 75 cap.
- The most useful magic spell ever? raise lols.
- The greatest summon/esper/eidolon? probably eden from ff8
- The best mini-game? hmm... i enjoyed bliztball, but didnt like how it was 10mins long for a game. I loved ff8's card game though, never gets old.
- The worst mini-game? didn't care for ff9's card game
- The best tank character. (PLD, High defense etc.) rdm/nin back at lvl 75 cap lols
- The best damage dealing character probably drk
- The best magic support character (WHM, cures etc.) fran is a horrible character in 12. she isnt the top in any stats.

- The best lead character? Zack Fair
- The best support character? (Basically any good character who you can party with, who is NOT the lead character. I do not mean support like a Mage.) Auron/Noillurie

- The game with the best music? FFVIII

- The most pointless quests ever? Repeatable quests in general. I don't like this concept and they're too often useless.

Under certain circumstances, we are given the ability to perform special moves to devastate our opponents. Which of the special abilites are the greatest?

- The game with the best battle and level system? FF 9
- The greatest special ability? (2 hours, Limit Breaks, Overdrives, Trance etc.) Azure Lore

- The best jobs? Blue Mage
- The worst jobs? I don't know, Chemist?
- The hardest quests to complete? Excalibur 2

- The biggest spam move ever? Low-Hp, initiative, Leon-heart... GG
- The biggest glitches that benefit you? FFXI windower? (LOL)
- The weakest party character ever? Aerith, Yuna , Wakka- The most useful magic spell ever? Aura, Triple
- The greatest summon/esper/eidolon? Odin/Gilgamesh
- The best mini-game? FFVIII card game, god damn addicting
- The worst mini-game? FFX-2 The coin battle game, Learn more math in that than in school.

Wakka is the strongest character in FF X with attack reels...

Yuna doesn't need to be on that list either she has higher stats for ultima and does it better than Lulu herself until you bump them both up

Screw Wakka-Wakka, it's all about Zell!

I'd honestly have to say Limit Breaks from VII and VIII. Also was amazing that they took priority over anything.

Aura + Lionheart spam anyone?

I'd also have to mention the Full ATB abilities from XIII. Army of One, Last Resort, and Highwind being my favorites.

It's mainly opinions, not actual facts. There is no reason to ask who is the best FF character when you can just compare the stats directly.

Depends on how much time you spent into the sphere grid and if you have the correct overdrive charge, then you'd have to consider the abilities each person has. Late in the game you can charge the overdrive incredibly fast and spam this for 99k each shot if you took the time to increase their stats that much.

Effectively ruining the game. FFX was terribly unbalanced, removing the 9999 cap was a big mistake.

The sphere grid can overwrite silly stat spheres with clear spheres and then you can use power magic speed spheres etc etc to make it add +4 to a stat instead of +1 or +2.

This can be done so all characters can achieve 255 of each stat.

The only unique thing about FFX characters is yuna's aeons and overdrives :<

probably, I can tell you that I only cared to level my characters to the point where they hit for 12 to 20k on overdrives, it takes a lot of time to make the true cap happen as you would need that or very high stats to win most of the harder coliseum fights

Luckily, this time around, only took me 5 casts to get my Growth Egg, haha!

Yea I can admit that as soon as Break Damage Limit came into FFX, it took away the feeling of danger for most mobs in the game.

Anyway, I am going to list everyones answer to the above question. I would assume that FF7/8 Limit Breaks will win, however we might see a surprise.

There is a definite trend going on here, and it seems that Limit Breaks, mostly from FFVII and FFVIII, come out on top.
Omnislash appears to be the one limit break that is singled out more then any other.

Here is the list of answers. If your answer is not here, it is because it is not a "Special Ability".

Limit Breaks (18) - Omnislash (5), The End (2) Lionheart, Tifa's Limits, Renzokuken, FFVI Limits.

Trance (2) - Grand Lethal
Invincible, Azure Lore

Safe to say, Omnislash will represent "Limit Breaks", as the most useful special abilities.

Also if I personally had to pick one, I would say Great Gospel. If Aeris had lived past the first disc, well .. you can imagine how much easier the game would have been. However people usually didn't waste the time to get it if they knew what was going to happen, or just simply didn't know how to get it.

There's Cyan's special ability with the zombie glitch!

Yea Cyans glitch could have come under the most useful glitches category. It's only that good because of the glitch, and not because it is naturally strong. Although yea, its freaking awesome.

The Weakest Character?

In Final Fantasy, we have characters that are regularly used, and other characters who we almost never use unless we have too.

So who is the weakest of them all? And why?

I'm pretty sure Edward is going to be a popular name. I'm sorry, but when you get him and you see 'Hide' on your command list?

As far as strength? Our staff/flute/doll wielders, of course. I remember hitting something with a staff when you first get Yuna and someone is all, "Uh, let us handle this."

I'm gonna say Selphie >.> She was just terrible (not counting her Limit Break)

Also this does include guest characters.

But Selphie was perky and peppy.
