I personally still think R/M/E should be the best weapons still, even if none of the weapons are hard to get, It still takes quite a bit of time, relic for example, even if you have the all the money to afford every single piece of currency you need you still need to do ALOT of work to get it to 99.

Mythics require WAY WAY WAY more time/effort/energy AND gil.

Just add 10-20dmg to each RME's 99-form and give the WS's a bigger +% bonus. Quick, easy, done. (Though those words are likely why SE would never do it that way.

I would say some damage, and a new aftermath trait that is specific to the jobs that can use it. Like Cure Potancy and Casting time on the hammer, recycle on Annihalator, Store TP on Yoichi, SKillchain damage on amano, etc, etc.

obviously this dev post was in response to people being upset over the lack of R/E/M update with these new overpowered weapons.

Do I need to make a timeline for you?

It still doesn't dispute the fact they responded to feedback from players. Which means debates and discussion still have a place and don't need you to be the police of them.

I wouldn't. Far bigger hassle to implement, and really wouldn't change the desirablity of some of them. (And recycle on Anni would be pointless with the recycle update they proposed a while back)

Said that as an example of something weapon and job specific. Or maybe giving it a Double Shot effect while aftermath is up. Just tossing out ***.

No reason to change a lot of the AMs that aren't bad. Like Amano's and Apoc's specifically. They definitely don't need changing. SC bonus on sam would honestly be worse. Some AM's suck like Gungnir's, but yeah, some of them are pretty decent.

It would still be a bigger hassle to design new AM, write and test coding to ensure job-specificness, test and rebalance new AMs, etc. than it would be just to find the data for say Amanomurakumo99 and change the 132 into say 150 and Kaiten +40% to +60%. Remember back when daggers got a big damage jump and how quickly SE was able to implement it?

He didn't "respond." He apologized for answering AN INTERVIEW QUESTION. Nowhere in his statement does he reference any feed back.

If you need evidence of "response," peruse the OF.

Until a mod posts here, you haven't made your case.

Furthermore, I didn't "police." I asked if we could skip the weighty paragraphs no one cares about. But BIG SUPRISE: you didn't read carefully, AGAIN

He directly was responding to a player response in the JP forums, actually.

They don't always translate the posts they are responding to.

Assumes facts not in evidence.

Furthermore, it doesn't diminish the fact that lengthy opinions regarding why or why not e/r/m merit improvements are unnecessary here.

Frankly, the sharing of online opinions is basically always unnecessary. If that's your entire argument, good job, but there are a good 35000 threads you could go further prove your point in on this website alone.

Actually not really because his argument would preclude the forums existing in the first place

Also original JP post responding to pissed off players

I didn't say that they don't listen to players.

I asked if we could avoid long-winded manifestos regarding your thoughts on whether or not e/r/m advancement should/shouldn't occur.

Response =/= change in plans. Nowhere in that post does Matsui state he will change what they have already planned. In fact, he apologizes for not being more specific from the get-go. Why? Because upgrade plans were already in place.

That means that player input was only addressed in apology. Not confirming it was a factor for the decision to upgrade.

Nice try though ^^.

The original JP post on the subject was already pretty clear that they were going to enhance RME somehow but it's nice that you finally decided to show up to the party I guess

And as Draylo said

Quote:
obviously this dev post was in response to people being upset over the lack of R/E/M update with these new overpowered weapons.

Which is true - People were upset and they responded

Alternatively you can keep being obstinate

He didn't respond to assure. He responded to apologize for not being more clear. There is a clear difference.

The NA post was pretty clear too.

What is unclear about "your r/e/m weapons will not go to waste?"

Alternatively, you can accept that response =/= necessitate long-winded essays regarding your thoughts on e/r/m weapons ON THESE FORUMS.

I asked. Judging by the +'s, I wasn't alone in my desire.

If you believe my prediction stifles discussion, feel free to block me or report me.

Ultimately, by continuing this argument, you're doing the EXACT THING YOU'VE ACCUSED ME OF.

I didn't ask to approve. I made a prediction and asked if we could skip to the conclusion.

To be honest, it was meant to be comical. However, you have made it more than it was. And for that, I thank you.

Threads inevitably conclude with people fighting over something irrelevant to the topic so it looks like you got what you wanted!

It's also worth mentioning that he's not directly talking about his ORIGINAL STATEMENT where they allude to a system for upgrades

He's responding to players who read (and were annoyed by) an interview in a Japanese gaming magazine where they literally say "Don't throw away those RME just yet!"

(I personally don't get why that was offensive - but my Japanese skills don't extend to cultural connotations so there could be something I'm missing )

I think they got offended possibly because it's insensitive to just assume people are gonna throw away some hard earned items, just because something new comes along and beats it. Like in the case of the smn staff, and the new skirmish one being just as good (from a pet MAB stand point) as the 99 mythic. Telling somebody to "hold off on throwing away your hard earned ***" implies that those old items are now "garbage" and I would be kind of sour if my 300m+ mythic turned to ***as soon as I had finished it.

I hope they add something to the weapons in addition to dmg boost. Adding Mighty Guard to Tizona!
