Windower and March 2013 Update
I am looking to start using windower for the first time. Will old guides and helps work for this? I'm not the most computer savvy so I'm hoping v4 is even more idiot proof than before.

You will need to close XI completely and run the v4 launcher to update your hook and plugins. Hook can't be updated while XI is running, but the plugins can, but this update raped the hook so yeah...

this ended up being a welcome change for me, i dual screen and nothing seems to be cut off so don't fix what ain't broken

I closed XI and ran the v4 launcher. When I log in and Jeuno loads, the game crashes.
I have disabled all plugins, in case any of them were causing a problem.
Any ideas why this would be happening?

I started another instance of win4 while my game was still up. Things seemed to update normally. Then I saw that note, after so I closed POL and restarted win4, but it didn't try to update the hook. <,< Logged in anyway and everything seems fine.
Can I force a hook update somehow, or manually download on, just in case?
No recast or yarnball on windower4 or need to download it from elsewhere?

I can't seem to recreate what happened D:
My chatlog blinked as if I were to zone, and then it crashed.
I have it loaded now and having BMN loaded while changing gear etc seems to work ok..

If you don't think your hook is updated then check the properties of it, it should be version 4.0.0.22, I think the launcher startup will also say the version.
The updates are quick though, so you may have just missed it.

Btimer lua thing does all that Yarnball ever did, from what I can remember at least.

- GW error - asked me to re download it. I went ahead and removed the plugin from folder and dl'd again from windower. Did not solve the issue.
- POL crashing after shutdown. I tried removing distance plugin from experiences in the past w/ the issue on older version. Also tried disabling pluggins/removing them. No luck atm.
Shout out to Windower team for putting together a great program to complement the game! Keep up the great work!

GuildWork is being worked on, we'll have that soon hopefully.
POL still crashes on shutdown just like 3.4 did, we haven't resolved those issues yet, but you're turning your game off then, so we'd rather fix the gameplay stopping issues not the going to bed issues ;D.

They go in exactly the same place in 4 as they did in 3.4. If theres not a scripts folder, then make one :).
