Ok, if it's somewhat outdated: Are Daihanshi Hibaki a shijin only option now? I have Anchorite +1 Gaiters and Hesychast's +1 hose for TP. Daihanshi are an Accuracy piece if you do not have Path B Qaaxo. Otronif(+1) would previously have been preferential for standard TP sets with favorable augments. otherwise, Shijin Spiral is all they would really be useful for at this point, yes.

Had a quick look but didn't see anything up. Is qaaxo legs body and head with otronif feet and hands work out as a more effective pdt hybrid set? Less pdt but better str acc etc any feedback? If I'm looking to be a turtle but still dish out some dmg
Lithelimb Cap is also a very close sidegrade for R15 Qaaxo head, fairly close though (Lithelimb has slightly better DEF and attributes).
Otherwise, basically any mix of Qaaxo (R15, path B)and Otronif+1 with decent augs is solid gear for a MNK hybrid PDT/TP set. Sorta depends on how good of an aug you get on Otronif to really make the call. I personally use Lithelimb, Qaaxo body/legs/feet, and Otronif+1 (crit+2/PDT-3% augs) hands. Its been a while, but what would be some ideal/good sets for TP/Shijin in Abyssea?

You could just look at the sets on page 1. You use crit type atmas so i would focus gear on maxing haste and throwing in multi attack pieces... i would use V smite in Abyssea. I don't really have restrictions on gear, that's why I left it open. I have access to all current gear, it's just been a long time since I have stepped foot into Abyssea. I'm looking for Shijin sets instead of Smite because I don't wanna spend 6-7m on a weaponskill for alts. is 919 acc enough acc for yorcia weald delve?

If I'm looking to be a turtle but still dish out some dmg You really shouldn't need PDT on every piece, items like Hesychasts Gloves+1 lack the PDT of Otronif but give insane amounts of accuracy for the hard content while Felistris Mask lacks PDT but gives all dat triple attack for non accuracy content. For an acc set you probably want something like Lithelimb Cap/Qaaxo Body/Hesychasts Gloves+1/Qaaxo Legs/Qaaxo Feet although you also may not need that much acc depending on the event. Mixing in Otronif Legs+1 or the 119 Relic Legs + 119 AF Feet combo can really increase your DPS if you don't need the accuracy in that slot. You should really aim not to wear Accuracy and PDT if you don't need it and make multiple sets for when you do. depending on how invested you are into mnk, it's just better to make numerous hybrid sets because of how many gear options and scenarios there are for hybrid sets nowadays. that being said, i'll show you mine.
ItemSet 324490 ItemSet 324491 ItemSet 324492 ItemSet 324493 all otronif +1 pieces have crit +2 and at least 3 pdt on them, all qaaxo are R15 B. hybrids aren't really that necessary other than for VD bcnms and lesser tree (yorcia)/boar+gnole (kamihr). you'd be better off in normal tp gear + swapping into PDT during tp charge up for other *** @drewbles: depends on your buffs, if you've got madrigal/hunter/geo/focus or aggressor up then probably yes. it's really only necessary for the mandragora. So I've recently leveled monk so I can do delve as something that isn't bard, and I'm wondering what I need for an acceptable delve 1 build. Here is my current set, any suggestions would be great. I feel I am missing accuracy in TP set.
MNK TP ItemSet 324515 MNK VS ItemSet 324516 Anything suggestions help. Thanks in advance. kithaofcerb said: » So I've recently leveled monk so I can do delve as something that isn't bard, and I'm wondering what I need for an acceptable delve 1 build. Delve 1, aside ceizak, isnt evasive, so dont need so many pieces. If you somehow need acc, check the manibozho gear, it has lots of acc and attack. Ive been doing morimar with 3x eminent mnks with just shijin, and just losing for bad stuns, not for lack of power/acc. I looked into Manibozho (I randomly have 2 legs in my mog house :0) and rank 15 adds 25 Accuracy if I'm not mistaken, so if I find I'm missing that is going to be my first step. Thanks for the replies! Time to go spam Tojil :P Edit: My sentence made no sense, Manibozho legs Accuracy path is what I mean. kithaofcerb said: » Pantafernando said: » kithaofcerb said: » Pantafernando said: » kithaofcerb said: » So I've recently leveled monk so I can do delve as something that isn't bard, and I'm wondering what I need for an acceptable delve 1 build. Manibozho doesnt have an acc path, just 1) att, 2) ratt and 3) eva paths. The rank15 att can add 10 acc+0,75*12 (DEX)=19 acc. Putting that TP set inside the spreadsheet for Tojil, assuming you alternate accuracy JAs and have no Madrigal or Hunters, you need a lot more accuracy. I'm seeing you at 73% accuracy on him with that set. If you don't have access to any Delve 2 gear you -might- want to look into Manizohbo Body and Legs, but spending 3m and the plasm on those I kind of see as a waste when Qaaxo is the same thing but better and really not hard to get. Aim to get Qaaxo Feet and Accuracy those up first I would say.
For quick fixes with your TP set I would reccomend switching your Neck to PCC, Waist to Angunius, and Back to Kayapa and that will give you 94% Accuracy with Focus on Tojil. I do have a few delve 2 KIs, but I'm not overwhelmed with plasm. Which pieces would you grade as most important to swap? I can also put in the time to farm the JSE cape which looks quite strong to me if you think its worth it. kithaofcerb said: » Asura.Failaras said: » Putting that TP set inside the spreadsheet for Tojil, assuming you alternate accuracy JAs and have no Madrigal or Hunters, you need a lot more accuracy. I just got Anguinus belt 1/1 so that's nice. I will for sure get the JSE cape then. What is a good acc number to shoot for? Over 9000!
Couldn't resist.... 900+ for delve 1 with using att food is good to aim for when you then start adding Gressor / focus 930+ if alternating in my full acc set without rolls song or ja I can get 1000 base acc with sushi. Figures I just quoted are rough as I can't spreadsheet at the moment to find out exactly the base.... Itl be in an old.tojil thread lurking around though. Carbuncle.Sambb said: » Over 9000! Figures I just quoted are rough as I can't spreadsheet at the moment to find out exactly the base.... Itl be in an old.tojil thread lurking around though. Thank you. I'm currently at 846, so I guess I have a little ways to go! Is using accuracy food even an option or will it hurt my damage too much to use that instead of having the gear? Acc food can only improve your overall dps providing your not capped in the first place. The main dps killer for any dd job is simply not hitting the mob. Best thing to do is parse yourself over a run and if you want mob specific. Scoreboard will do this for you. Its not ever 100% accurate bit it guides you. Many DD have low acc mid and High acc sets the key is working out how much acc you need as base then gear around reaching the magic number using multi att gear and so on. Get above 900 and you can start mixing it up a bit.
900 acc seems excessive I don't have that in my low acc tojil setup and I cap just fine. I think I sit around 870 acc, with buffs and food before impetus get like 1360~ Att and I do pretty solid that way. I agree that qaaxo feet are absolutely are great acc peice and I do use those.
Coming back after a long outing(and even then was RARELY playing at the time)
Anything I need to make a priority? Walked out with Oatixurs, and some of the capped delve gear at the time. I probably have some catch up to do, but shouldn't be too bad off starting. Also, is Toci's worth anything anymore? Tired of fighting Pil lol 846 sounds like overkill to me. You should have SV 3 songs for tojil minimum, 1 March, 1 Mad(74-90 acc) and 1 Minuet. That should cap you in accuracy without the need for accuracy food, so use red curry bun or magma steak.
I have 825 for HF TP set and 822 for normal tp set on tojil and I'm always accuracy capped with 1 SV mad+5(+merits) and either focus or aggressor. I really don't think I need to use the ja either but it's part of my routine. I don't know what tojils stats specifically are but using the spreadsheet I have which has "delve boss" a its option to pick 870 acc grants only a hit rate of 75% so either your wildy wrong or the delve boss on the spreadsheet is referring to delve 2.0
Once I got to 925 hit rate was 95% edit so on reflection if madrigal happens and you get a solid +90 acc then 840 in gear suffices on the basis your running with a ghorn brd of course. If your not then add a bit more onto your base tp set so you can still use red curry or meat equivalent. You're right assuming SV Madrigal, I honestly don't see people use Madrigal on Tojil much and it really isn't even that neccesary to be honest. Once you get all that +skill from Tinhaspa you really only need to wear a few pieces of accuracy to cap without madrigal on Tojil. For a group of players that lack a lot of the gear that most people sport now you may want to look into Madrigal and Sushi options, Sushi really isn't as bad as some people make it out to be.

Giving up 150 att is a huge loss. I prefer dropping minuet for madrigal instead dropping rcb for sushi. |
