Since I've been getting PMs about this thread, I would like to ask everyone to limit the amount of bashing on others ideas.
I'm not saying you can't discuss, but if you start shooting down every idea you don't agree with then you're going to scare others off from participating sharing their ideas, and that isn't good.
Please understand that this thread is open to every kind of idea.

But the magian staves aren't the replacements. Lvl 51 staves have perp/m.acc and matt (and other side stats) all rolled into one, where as the magian ones are specific other bonuses (with very minor side bonuses like the macc+1 with the affinity+6 dmg staves). There are different magian staves for pets, and m.acc vs m.att. I don't see how these are the "replacements" when they are highly specialized where as the lvl 51 staves are a solid general bonus. How many people are using magian staves instead of 51 staves now? By my definition that's a replacement. I understand they have there differences and it's not exactly the same but the majority of the 51 staves are no longer the best for anything. Regardless, I'd want blu on them, if you disagree that's fine.

Am I the only one who thinks non-mission-related items (especially NM direct drops) shouldn't be touched by trial of the magians?
If not magian, then at least scrap(or something) augments as was done with sky gear. At least there's a precedent. Be nice to keep those drops relevant even just for niche uses.

I believe the way it works is that you have a chance to learn a spell upon defeat of the monster (provided the ability was used at least once) and not each moment it uses its ability.

Close, certain moves such as enervation and diamond hide are used by trolls, but you can't learn enervation from a Melee troll, and vice versa (used to be this way at least) plus if the troll used enervation (mage) and then used diamond hide afterwards (which can't be learnt from a mage) You then couldn't learn enervation until it was used again and you would have to kill before it then used diamond hide .....

Yeah that's utter ***. You learn 1 move from the correct sub family in AU areas. They just need to use it once. The order in which they WS means nothing. They don't have to use the learnable move last.

Wrong yes but still, there was lots of theories thrown back then regarding blu spells, like stand on your head and you learn em faster >_> or stack INT gear. anyways!

mog furnishings can be traded for a key item counterpart which can be used for moghouse decorative purposes only (or toggle moghancements)
i honestly wouldn't mind having a snazzy looking moghouse but don't want to completely destroy my mog safe doing so. this also gives woodworking something to do ^.~

I think relic weapons need to have stuff added to them.
example.
guttler - make it a super bst wep. add reward bonus, pet regen. pet pdt. something like that. make it so that its desired and more useful
mandau. add TH2 to it..reward the thf who worked on it..hook the brds+ rdm up lol. add some agi/dex to it or dw bonus. hell idk. make it more powerful!
masa (cuz i have it and not amano) add some stp to it and a small tp bonus maybe 50

Rebalance Relic Weapons, here and hereafter with current and new jobs.
Blu: Excalibur
Cor: Annihilator
Dnc: Mandau
Sch: Mjollnir
Pup: Either Spharai as is, or, Spharai with a latent effect of DMG -10 while the main job is Puppetmaster. (DMG42 at 99, DMG38 at 95, DMG34 at 90, DMG30 at 85, DMG24 at 80, and DMG13 at 75.) If neither of these are acceptable, add a Relic Animator, with which the Automaton is given a Relic Weaponskill for each of the three main frame groupings (Harlequin/Stormwaker, Sharpshot, and Valoredge) and increased functionality. There is no reason why new relics cannot be added in this way to fill a void in the game and to properly "balance" the jobs. After all, the Relic Shield has set this precedent by being added later than the original implementation of the other Relic Weapons.
Please make Magian Trials for the Thief's Knife.
Please add multicolor Obis, Torques, and Belts. These clog inventory space the same way that elemental staves used to.
Add common sense processes to reduce the punitive amount of time currently required to change jobs and all gear associated with each job. There has to be a better way than the status quo.

All 3 of those weapons are already some of the best in their slot and should be sought as is.
I wouldn't mind seeing relics get an aftermath duration increase though. One minute @ 100% would make a lot more sense than 20 f***ing seconds. A few could also use a "What my aftermath does"-adjustment as well.
EDIT: And why on Earth would you want PUP to be put on Spirhai just to make its stats immediately worse than Verethragna.

I don't think this has been posted but why can I use adaman bullets on my ranger with armageddon where-else when I change back to Cor I cant use adaman bullet with the same gun.

Not sure if this been post yet. I would like it if they can increase fishing ranking result to win Pelican Ring from 20 to 30 since there been many player now fishing.

Hello everyone!
There have been a couple of suggestions related to item improvements, which received responses that I would like to pass on. Likewise, if there are any item you would like to see changed, improved, modified, etc. please let us know!
I think it would be okay to reduce the time of the "medicated" effect after using items like Icarus Wings. |
I believe we can look into this to follow the changing battle pace and the time required for content. In the case we do this, there would be necessary adjustments that would take place at the same time for other elements such as abilities and magic that have effect durations. Please give us some time to look into and implement this.
You should make it so batteries, wind fans, and hydro pumps can be used with any weapon to elicit their effects. |
These items don't actually possess any effects; it just enables the special weapons to elicit their effects when consumed. In other words, from a system perspective, just equipping these items cannot bring out an added effect. With that said, we will look into some different kind of way to do this for existing weapons.
Please make it so we can buy corsair bullets from a Qiqirn in Nashmau. |
We will try and look into ways that corsair bullets can be obtained. Since there are almost no NPCs in Vana'diel who sell bullets, we would first like to look into offering them as items that can be exchange for specific content points or as a reward for Walk of Echoes. | |
