I think we need to bring up the question about h2h, great axe, and scythe rebalancing to the dev reddit ama on the 25th of July.
Please do not forget Polearms!

Polearms are fine. Dragoon itself suffers from a lack of attack and has trouble reaching the 3.75 cRatio cap, but otherwise Pole Arm already has several powerful WS's. Stardiver is the Polearm version of Resolution and is extremely exploitable. I screwed around with in on WAR months ago with a Blurred Lance using my Resolution set, put out really big numbers considering the weapon used. When the new ambuscade came out I dug my Polearm out of storage and continued putting out 30K+ Stardivers, high being somewhere north of 40K (sound familiar). Drakesbane is also a very strong WS, unfortunately since DRG suffers from an attack deficit they tend to get lower numbers without a Mythic or super buffs. CT is a decent Fragmentation linker for their self SC's, damage wise it's just like Quietus but has slightly better mods (VIT instead of MND) and since DRG suffers from low attack it's a bit more useful.

DRG is like the polar opposite of DRK. DRK has obscene attack but lowish accuracy, DRG has obscene accuracy but lowish attack.

In terms of WS damage using Relics, Stardiver loses to Resolution by 10-20% assuming 1000TP WSing, equal attack, and equal STR, all of which are favorable assumptions for DRG.

Aeonic (Trishula) pushes Stardiver up towards beating Ragnarok Resolutions and then you have to look at the conditions attached to the above comparison. It's easy to argue that DRG has higher Ratio than DRK against enemies it has used Angon on, particularly when paired with GEO/Dia, but that is 30 seconds of one enemy every 3 minutes. DRG doesn't get access to Argosy +1, which is a pretty nice set. Resolution at 1000 TP may also not the best way to use the WS, while it certainly is the best way to use Stardiver.

I would be unsurprised if a pimped out Trishula DRG beats a pimped out Ragnarok DRK in some conditions.

I've seen a pimped Aeonic DRG and they put out some really scary Stardivers. They always curse that they don't have access to Argosy +1 though.

Angon is 90s at 25% defense down with 5/5 Merits and the relic, recast is 3 min. It's like Savagery Warcry in that it helps the whole parties DPS, and this is actually one of my more favorite DPS combos (DRG + WAR). Aeonic DRG with 1450 TP Bonus spamming SD is just murderous.

Compared to the other two heavy DD's it does. WAR and DRK get an *** ton of attack buffs with DRK getting the most. DRG compensates for this by having a ton of Accuracy gifts with Accuracy Bonus job trait. Accuracy is more valuable then Attack so it ends up evening out.

Oh and, about Ankou, I guess the augments are STR+10 acc+30/atk+20 STP+10, or am I wrong?

if this is your tp cape 20 dex will beat 10 acc.

you can further augment to 25 dex this month and up to 30 next month

Missed this for some reason...

DEX and Accuracy are two separate upgrade slots.

Slot 1: STAT +20
Slot 2: Accuracy + Attack +20
Slot 3: DA/WSD/CRIT/STP +10
Slot 4: STAT +10 / Accuracy +10 / Attack +10 / any upgrade from Slot 1/2 at +10

You can upgrade up to +10 of Slot 4 in one month. 5 of the Dye's are from Total Hallmarks, the other 5 are from purchasing with points. I went +10 Accuracy on one of my TP capes as that beats +10 DEX most of the time.

On ankous I have
Dex/acc/atk/stp
Vit/acc/atk/wsd.
Str/acc/atk/dbl.atk

Is it worth it to have a str/wsd piece or would it be more beneficial to have a magic focus piece? Or crit?

Exactly the capes I have. I'll probably be adding STR or Acc to my STR (Resolution) cape, Accuracy to my DEX one, and VIT to my VIT (torcleaver) one.

The only issue with going full Argosy for CR/CA/Q is that you are giving up potential WSD in slots (and MND in all slots). If ACC needs are that high, then Argosy makes sense.

Also, I forgot to throw Sulv. +1 items in that build (Duh!). Good for DT sets and some WS pieces if you are having issues with Abj mobs or Reisen stuff.

This is my CR set Currently:

ItemSet 341003

WSD +32% total: 10 back, 6 feet, 6 head, 6 hands, 4 legs.
Most have 30+ ACC/ATT with STR or VIT.
Body is +10 STR, ACC +38, ATT +35

Well, ***. I'm already at 27 acc. I guess there is a way to switch things around, or I hope so at least.

I unfortunately came back when Usukane came out and was unable to farm Sulevia's gallantry. I hope it'll be back soon (after Morrigan, if everything goes right?) because it's a really nice bridge between Alluvion and Escha.

All right, so just like the SAM cape I asked about last time on these forums.

I'm missing something. Where are you getting 20 dex vs 10 acc? 4th Augment slot is 10 stat cap, for acc or dex. So your tp cape would either be:

dex+30 acc+20/att+20 OR dex+20 acc+30/att+20

So the discussion is 30 dex vs 30 acc.

Doesn't DEX cap at 10? Meaning you either get DEX+10 acc+30 or DEX+20 and acc+20. Which is why I went for 30 acc.

You carried a two, when it should have been a one on the dex math. No worries happens to all of us. Thorva still thinks my geo+handbell skill cap is below 900 when in fact is at 913.

In case anyone missed the link to the official forum post I made about Scythe Weaponskills. Please upvote and give your feedback there; perhaps SE will notice but I'm not holding my breath.

Scythe Weaponskills vs. Resolution

Also mentioned Great Axe and Monk as well as they need some love.

Now im confused. Thought slot 4 was cumulative and additive? So dex20 acc/att20 (for threads and dust). New augment path adds 10 of whatever, so dex30 (total) or acc30 (total)

For JSE ambuscade capes you get 4 potential augment slots. The first slot is either HP/MP, pet stuff, or any of the basic stats. If you augment it with VIT for the first slot, it will cap at 20 VIT for the first slot. The fourth slot can also be augmented with VIT, and caps at 10. So 20+10=30. You are right, I was wrong.

Already discussed why I do it that way, I won't change because a few people get upset, and very rarely does anyone start at 0 tp, they start at 60% or more.

You can call it whatever you want, it only reflects poorly on yourself.

Raelia is right, this standard was made a long *** time ago as a way for everyone to understand gear sets and pass them around.

I could really care less about the standard from 12 years ago. I could really care less what only a handful of people get charged up about. What I say is plenty clear for everyone to understand. The only option here is to deal with it.

You are not alone. Xbow is one of those things that were a lot of fun to use when you were leveling in garbage shitadel, but in an actual current endgame party? I doubt you will find much use. You can always cast a debuff, or a t1 nuke, or an absorb to pull as drk.

Drk only has like 2 snapshot options outside of SoA ring and Assault ring.

One of the major reasons drk is getting looked at so much lately is the AG weapons dealing so much massive dmg. That has turned into the realization that drk can actually take a hit and has the ability to hit enough acc for t3 reisenjima. Not that many groups do the melee set-up, but being able to take a hit, have enough acc to hit that high lvl of content and still deal solid dmg, has brought drk out into the light. That and a few of us that never actually gave up on drk and believed we could make it useful in 90% of the game still.

While DRK does have marksman skill, I only ever use marksman in cases like Nyzul isle for /ra pulls when there is "avoid detection of gear."

Normally when pulling you are better off with absorb or drain spells. This isn't to take away from a decent /ra build, but lacking so much r. acc/attk would be a deterrent in anything lvl 119 and higher. I don't think drk is capable of hitting 1200+ r. acc pre-food.

I haven't actually made a build for /ra so I don't know 100% if that is accurate or not. I just currently feel it doesn't feel usable in any ilvl content.
