Yeah, Founder's Breastplate. It works like BST Emp where it takes 50% (33% for NMs) of the killer effects you have and converts it to damage dealt and reducing all damage taken (including fixed damage that DT doesn't touch).

Arcane Killer II: 10
Arcane Circle: 17 (with boots)
That's DT-9% against these things. Then combine that with Arcane Circle's 17% damage dealt/taken and you have quite the edge against all the Mega Bosses.

Definitely will want to adjust the weapons outside of REMA's.

Cronus is an absolute beast at R15. The 4mil investment will give a returning or new DRK a lot of mileage. This is probably the only scythe outside of REMA I would consider until then. You will have a hard time beating the ACC/WSD on this weapon. Purchased and upgraded through Oboro. I just linked the whole oboro page.

Dacnomania is great for Drain III/HP goodness with Soul Eater popped. The added ATT and crit hit is a nice bonus as well. Only issue I have with this weapon is lack of ACC. Dropped from Warder of Courage.

Obschine is a pretty good weapon if you want to play the augment RNG game with Oseem. Any combo of ACC/ATT/WSD/STAT+ works just fine. Dropped from Gajasimha T2 in Reisen.

The other scythes are sidegrades. Great if you get one from unity or a random drop, but I probably wouldn't invest a lot of time into farming them.

Zulfiqar is an insanely good GS if your throwing stones at it. DMG+/ACC/ATT/WSD/STAT+ really do wonders for this thing. You are looking at one hell of a sword if you shoot for a Torc build. Dropped from Sarsoak T2 in Reisen.

Montante(+1) is a good GS as well. TA, STP, and a healthy dose of att make this a good weapon to start with, especially with the unity campaign going on right now. It is also scientifically proven that this weapon performs better due to style points. Dropped from Unity mob Sarama iLV135.

Takoba is a decent GS with a good amount of ACC on it. That's really about it. Schah doesn't think anyone in our ls needs the staff...so he gives us these instead. You are probably better investing time into Zuli/Monta +1. Dropped from Schah T4 Helm Reisen.

Also, I am currently working on Redemption to 119. The demon toothpick fully upgraded looks to be a fun toy. That ODT and Stat vomit looks great.

I am having an awesome time with my Anguta. Much like Lusty, this is my current zerg beat stick. The CR numbers I can pull off are just silly.

Glad to see the thread moving in a forward and positive direction.

I honestly never thought about the founder pieces. Which do you suggest to melee/tank in? I am going to be making an omen set for my lua and want to perfect it.

I'd wager, max aug breastplate, other pieces might be a bit of a hard trade off. On a related note, how does the JP arcane circle category work? Is it a straight 1 point dmg reduction or percentage?

^ Correct.

I also use a few of the pieces for Cloud/Infernal builds.

The JP category simples says "Reduce damage taken by 1." While I'm a bit hesitant to say it's literally 1 damage point, I'll assume for the moment it's actually 1 percentage point per upgrade under circle.

It's a Phalanx-like effect that's applied after the Circle percentage reduction. Having 20/20 actually reduces damage by 24 HP for some reason.

So... 1.02 Phalanx then? Interesting. Kind of makes sense if the effect is multiplied by the DT from Circle itself on the end of the formula. Maybe? And thank you Brad.

So with all this new Omen powerhouse gear coming out and having literally no stp on it, I have been thinking if maybe its not time to lower the xhit down a notch to start using some of it. As my set stands I cannot lose 1 stp in my tp phase or i drop an xhit on torc/scour (reso not an issue), so things like the uu grip, niq ring etc are hard to integrate atm.

I was brainstorming a new set and this is what I am looking at and would still retain a 6 hit /sam, and if you get a sam 11 roll on cor (no crooked or sam pty bonus) then its a 5hit again like wea re use to. Normally we are tagging with a cor nowadays so I dont think this is to large a stretch.

ItemSet 348476
Odys legs I have are dark matter augged 3 QA 6 acc lol

so total is 8 QA, 11 TA, 38 DA and should be about 1145 acc

For longevity this set seems like a good base because When relic+3 and emp+3 come out, I doubt they will have stp too and probably be even better than the af+3, thus making choices even harder to retain our now current Xhit builds.

Also for apoc 5 hit with this set you would need only to change ammo to ginsen, and cessance to telos. Results in +19 acc and 5hit but - 5 DA

Thoughts?

Generally the race is to 175% tp for most ws, (with moonshade) so the build you have is 6 hit with 32/100, 33/100, AND 76/100 on attack round from all the multi-hit I think it would actually be fine to run that set.

I wouldn't be so overly concerned with dropping some stp as you should always have a cor paired with you for and high level zerg and have sam roll active. My 4 hit pulls 300 ish tp with a cor in the set up, so losing a few points to ensure its still around the 250 mark would be a decent option and favour more x hit

Biggest issue is losing accuracy though, this cant happen

Speaking of accuracy I watched your video Bloodlusty and seen you /checkparam with 1428 acc. I'm curious what is your walk out of your MH acc in that gear set you were using in the video?

I have an AG apoc and I'm not missing too many key pieces of gear I also have decent augs but 1428 seems impossible for me at the moment.

Edit: I enjoyed the video by the way. it looked like a lot of fun.

1428 is actually really easy to hit with buffs. Figure food is 100 off the top, diabolic eye can give you 40, hasso is 10 acc, madrigal from trust give acc, geo gives acc, hunter roll can give you acc, absorb-acc, absorb-dex, boost dex from a whm will increase your acc. Think the most acc I have ever needed came from WoC where I needed to break 1800 during bracers.

Honestly, generally rule to follow is to stuff as much DA, TA, QA, and STP as you can into a "Low Accuracy." Making a "Mid Accuracy" and "High Accuracy" set still stands.

And really, on DRK you'll almost always be sacrificing one of those four Stats for Accuracy as mob Level/ Difficulty goes up. (That is of course baring getting MAX Reisenjima Augments.

Secondly, outside of Cronus, Apocalypse and Ragnarok you're generally looking at a [required] range of 1100~1250 BEFORE food. Everything else is buffs afterwards.

Yea I thought about that while I was at work. I don't think think I've done a /checkparam fully buffed and you also get 20 acc from endark which I normally have up plus the aftermath. I can see all that little stuff adding up so I may already be close to that with full buffs.

I'm currently sitting on the low end of that with a balanced set at 1136. I guess I need to get some extra Reisenjima gear and just focus on Acc for those pieces for a high acc set.

I'm not enjoying the Reisenjima Augment system it takes a lot of stones just to get 30 plus acc with 5 stp plus on each piece. I'm happy with the head and hands but the legs are being stubborn 500 or so stones and the best I've got is 3 dex 28 acc and 5 stp. I don't have the body yet and I'm using the Flamma +1 feet to save me some aggrevation on at least on slot.

Thanks for the responses.

Apocalypse
By far one of the most popular Relic Weapons DRKs can wield, and a decent starting point for building your DRK to use for High Endgame. Catastrophe, which drains the target of its HP, helps a Dark Knight do a variety of things they normally wouldn't: They can solo without having to worry too much about being an MP sink. They can tank with some support in low-man situations. It can also help get you out of a tight spot when the battle starts getting ugly. Its Aftermath will give you +10% Gear Haste, which can allow you to swap into gear with extra melee stats in place of Haste Gear for TPing with. In mentioning this, I must add that it is imperative for you to have an Aftermath Build to immediately swap into. Otherwise, when your aftermath is active, the surplus haste pieces in your Non-Aftermath TP sets will act as paperweight. At level 90, Catastrophe will get a boost of 25% more damage, & at level 95, the hidden effect of 2x Damage on TP swing rises from the original 8% of earlier levels to 20%. If you're prepared to take this weapon to the realm of iLevel 119 III with Afterglow, While reasons for an Apocalypse to be used in low-man situations can be scarce, it depends on what you're using it for. Whether you prefer a Ragnarok, Liberator, Caladbolg or Anguta, this is still a great weapon for Hardcore DRKs to have on hand.

Apoc doesn't really change how much of a MP sink DRK is because usually all the MP it can save for a said WHM is lost with one Cure/aga after Cata is used (losing mp return from WHM legs)

I wouldn't say it's worse but it doesn't help much. (with trusts it does tho but not by much cause of there AI)

I think the only 3 times Apoc shines is when you MB(or even none MB) Drain 3 and use Souleater and Spam Cata (if blood weapon isn't up ofc).

Times when staying alive is more a lot important than damage like for example the main tank goes down.(that said killing faster is sometimes the best Defense)

Anytime you fight something that spams Dispel.

Also worth mentioning when in red hp Cata gets a -2000 acc trait ;;(joke)

Desperate Blows Effect 5/5
- Desperate Blows Effect is a MUST! 1 Merit point equals an additional 2% Delay Reduction. All five points add up to an additional 10%, which brings your total delay reduction to -25% when using a two-handed weapon. It will give you a HUGE advantage in Melee Damage, and in the speed in which you deal it. Stack it with Haste, Marches and Embrava for maximum performance.

Hi, I just wanted to touch on this topic - With Apoc 119ag, + LR (no merits) = 25% JA haste w/o Desperate Blows or Hasso.

With Apoc you can ride capped JA haste with seigan/third eye running and just LR. (Or capped Desperate LR?)

You can also maintain 20% outside of LR (so 1min?) Hasso +AM.

This information might be useful under the Apoc section (I reviewed it briefly and didn't see it touch on the topic directly, so I apologize if this was already discussed)

Apoc has saved my life countless times!!!
