If the SCH is making the SC the party is going to be slow and not really movign that fast, been in one where the SCH was doing half the SC, but still it moves faster with DD making SC, SCH dual roll of nuking, regen5, weathering
my sch sucks plain and simple, so with that in mind can someone post a decent current enfeeb set? was trying to silence sang buya and had no luck at all
This is a good start. Can replace head with Merlinic Hood with good magic accuracy augments. Cape can likely be replaced as well.

max should then be, 180*2.55*1.5=688.5 or 11m 28s Gloves should be included in the perpetuance term during multiplication. With this in mind, it's possible to get Embrava to ~9m duration.

I would consider the gloves bugged in that case. +55% perpetuance should mean when perpetuance is active, that term in the multiplication gets increased. If the only term that increased duration was perpetuance then sure it makes sense to make the coding easier I suppose. However since there are other terms, either the entire perpetuance buff should either be included or excluded from the rest of the math. Being partially included and excluded... gets sent to remedial math classes? Have you sent a bug report to make sure that is working as intended? If you think it's a bug, you should report it.

So I retested this and I found out I equip pedagogy loafers midcast, which is why I was seeing messed up numbers when I tested with storms. Unfortunately missing 10 duration is almost exactly equal to not multiplying my other gear bonuses by .55. Sorry for being dumb and not locking gear d-d.
So the gloves don't work like I said they do apply across other gear bonuses, but Oranyan does work they way I first thought. So max duration of a 3 min spell is actually like: 2.55*1.1*1.4*180 = 706 (11:46) Gunna go slash out some things in my old posts now to prevent any spread of misinformation. Offline

So Gear Question for noober goober sch...
The Arbatel Bracers are supposed to extend the duration of your spell for more when equipped if your using perpetuation correct? Well i used perpetuation on Regen. Got 5 minute timer. Since my gear isn't +1'd and is only lvl 109. I should only recieve 50% boost to duration. Here's what i'm seeing. w/o strat = 2 minute. w/ strat = 5 minute. w/ strat & Arbatel Bracers 109 = 5 minute. Shouldn't that be 7.5 minutes? ***** Now when tested w/ Barfire ****** w/o strat = 8 minute. w/ strat = 15 minute. w/ strat & Arbatel Bracers 109 = 20 minute... Perpetuance doubles duration. or +100% tack on top of that another 50% for +150%. So the bracers have no effect on Regen Duration?? WHY? Check your times. It's working as normal. First: Base duration of Regen is 108 secs with Light Arts active. If you have LA job points leveled some you can reach your 2 min duration. Second: If you have a 2 minute base duration, and use Perpetuance, you'd then have 4 min duration, since Perpetuance doubles your base duration. Third: using 109 gloves would then add and extra 50% when Perpetuance is up. 2mins * 2.5 = 5 mins. Also, last I read, base duration for Bar-Spells is effected by Enhancing Magic skill, and caps at 5 mins@300 skill

Hmm tested w/o my gearswap running and it seems to be working fine. I think it's something in my lua file thats throwing it off... going to move this over to windower support and see if someone can check my work. Thanks for the fast response :)

I'm just starting to build my set for Enhancing Duration and Potency :(

Sometimes my regen/weather would be 5 min, sometimes it would be 11min and it was the issues. The perpetuance issue happens if you use "buffactive['perpetuance']" as a condition in your lua.
To avoid that you can use a custom variable that you create and activate (could be a boolean you set to "true") each time you perform "Perpetuance" JA and spell.action is not interrupted. Do this in your aftercast. Then in your midcast check for your custom variable instead of checking for buffactive['perpetuance']. Alternatively you need to change your habits and use Perpetuance as your first Stratagem. I had the habit of using stratagems in this order: Penury > Celerity > Accession > Perpetuance. From left to right in my macro book. Just change it the other way around and make so Perpetuance is always the first strat you use, and that usually fixes the mentioned midcast issue with Perpetuance even if you use the standard buffactive check method Explanation on what is happening if you're curious: Arbatel hands do not get equipped midcast because Gearswap doesn't "see" Perpetuance buff as being active. This happens because the client takes 1-2 seconds to see a buff you put up, and in return this means that if you're too fast casting a spell or performing an action after using a JA, Gearswap might be unable to see that that specific buff is already up. This happens with everything, not just perpetuance. If you want to make sure something gets 100% equipped you need to either be slower after JA use or to use one of the many alternate methods to address your condition check (like custom variables I suggested above, but there are other ways as well) |
