Fulltime Chaos+Hunter and sushi. No 3 rolls.
Sabebus(A)/Atoyac(oat-mab)/Pulfanxa(C)
Uk/Asperity/Dudgeon/Heartseeker
Thaumas/Qaaxo/Rajas/Epona
Atheling/Windbuffet/Ighwa/Qaaxo(A)
this is what I use on everything but mandy and Wopket where I switch in some heavy acc gear like Whirlpool, Iqabi, Letalis, Lanun boots.

Played with spreadsheet for melee builds, it seems:
For pure dmg: SAM roll> DA roll. I got higher number from Iuitl+1 legs, OAT Atoya, Iuitl+1 heads with augment and windbuffet, that's with SAM roll instead of DA.
Fulltime Chaos+Hunter and sushi. No 3 rolls.
Wouldn't other melee jobs need DA on lower tier NM?

Dunno, I do what I'm asked so that's what I've been running with.
As for Iuitl gear, I don't have augments and my money goes all into alex so there's that which makes it not so good for me.

For marjami delve, i've been put in a ranger party and doing courser/chaos and we get bard preludes, has anyone tried this zone using meat instead of sushi?
I haven't had much experience with this zone to see how far I can ease up my racc set which is close to the max racc set in the guide.
Tripleshot+AM3 damage procs are substantial tp phase damage, i'm inclined to believe i'm being a bit conservative in my setup.
Really feels good to see Leaden doing 11k+ on NMs when you gotta store up 3000tp for AM3 now. I still get incredibly cranky when i still get told to /whm tho ._.

Really no reason to whm anywhere -_-
As for food I admit I never tried dropping sushi, but pot should work well enough, not the highest attack but it could be a good compromise. Best advice I can give if you wanna try meat is to bring antacid so you can fix it quickly in case it's not working.

May work on lower tier NM, but megaboss can be a struggle so I suggest you don't use RCB. Especially for DP users, with no racc/AGI on gun and in some case you need to sacrifice certain racc gears for STP.

According to my experience, you need close to max racc TP set and 2 prelude on boss to get 95% hit rate. Especially if you're using Chaos+ snapshot.
It's a content lv 128 with ILV119 weapon, after all.

concerning QD light and dark would a noetic torque be a good replacement of the faith torque ?

Arctier's torque, cheap and one of the best you can get.

There's been numerous reports of ranged accuracy affecting QD accuracy, so they all seem more attractive than Noetic.
Also if you got Huani can just throw away Arctier xD

random Cor meriting/RoE tip, matamatas seem to be weaker to darkness magic.
just shot one in the face with Leaden Salute for almost 22k damage >.> yeah i'm late to the 'omg new ws damage' party.
I'm afraid to enjoy this too much, worried they are gonna nerf DP again ._.
However with this update I no longer feel like im taking a huge cost/time efficiency hit if I want to just run around and do things outside of endgame on cor now as opposed to some other jobs. Some other jobs just merit faster and this does seem to address that somewhat,
Bullet quality is irrelevant for leaden ws'ing and the damage is top notch which frees us from plasm ammo a good deal, and cor/dnc melee for tp phase is more than competent in a lot of situation. I might actually get some job points farmed on cor now.
Anyone found situations where Last Stand beats Leaden? I havent run up against any resistant targets with Leaden yet.

The eye in Yorcia seem to resist any magic ws I throw at him, either that or some gimmick I don't know was going on everytime I hit it..pierce phase on Tojil is worth LastStanding.. But yeah I've been using Leaden on almost anything too.
One you certainly can't Leaden is Marjami boss..unless you take aura down that thing gains an immense mdb.
WF works great on some Kamhir mobs though.

Probably AA, and yorcia T1. Last stand seems stronger in morimar on every NM too, but maybe if you ask for voidstorm things will change. I found last stand dmg is 1k higher after update,so it often hits around 8~9k range on morimar NM.

Did Dakuwaqa last night and Leaden didn't fare well on him, I guess that's another Last Stand mob on the list.

It really depends on when you were using leaden. Last Stand should beat Salute handily from 100-75% and from 50-25% because he take 100% extra piercing damage and -50% magic damage respectively for those two phases. Might be good to save Salute for the last phase where he takes 100% extra magic damage.

Unrelated, but this is a cute mechanic and brings up the age-old question:
WHY DO HECTEYES AGGRO TO SOUND?

Yes I did, but damage was very underwhelming in magic weak phase too(3k). I don't get these problems with Tojil or Wopket, so it's not like it's something I suffer often. I think Daku's just darkness resilient.

WHY DO HECTEYES AGGRO TO SOUND? The answer is actually quite simple: the eyes are fake. I'm not making this up btw!

That is kind of interesting, not speaking from cor perspective cause I never get to go cor, always sch, but I have a lot more issues with tojil as far as resisted spells go. I know supposedly Daku has floored magic evasion to thunder when aura is up, but when I do get resists on Daku, that is when I get them.

That makes a degree of sense I suppose. Explains why some of the eyes to make the cluster are wooden/golden/etc.
Edit: Hmmm.
No time to do in-depth analysis, but I'm going to ask for a source!
This does not seem to indicate anything about the eyes being fake.
By Pantafernando 2014-06-27 09:18:05
The answer is quite simple actually.
Hecteye are aggro by sight. But they have 360 degree radius vision, so they can detect you from any side.
But they arent capable to focus in one single eye, its too much info for hos brain to focus in a single target with eyes alone.
But if you do make a sound, it will be an pontual stimulus, giving a precise coordinate to focus all his mental sources, so aggroing you with all his eyes.

My theory is backed up by the FFXII bestiary which claims hecteyes only have one real pair of eyes and the rest are used to confuse/scare the preys.
This is a serious debate, I say we should pose our questions and doubts to the dev team on the OF!

Is it just me or did they break cor recycle? I used to save tons more bullets before update..
By fractalvoid 2014-06-27 19:06:08
People were talking about this in the RNG thread and then decided it had been ninja-fixed. I personally noticed no real difference on RNG but I've only been on COR once since I reactivated

Throwing this out there. Did a ton of Morimar tonight and with a few limited exceptions, Leaden Salute rarely beat Last Stand. It's all eyeball test, but within a few specific obvious circumstances, Last Stand beat the piss out of Leaden Salute.

This might be a dumb question but does the magic dmg+ on Vanir Knife work for Wildfire/Leaden Salute?

Thats where youre failing.
If you were hecteyeballing a test, you would have more conclusive answers.
