I was asleep...I think, I don't understand FFXIAH time.

So I invaded as a mad spirit at the kiln bonfire, was greeted with the host + 2 phantoms. Killed a phantom. Tried to stall till another red phantom invades and evens out the odds a bit, then TWO DARKMOON GOT SUMMONED.

WHY IS THIS A THING

2 Darkmoon? I'm surprised Hell didn't freeze over.

Darkmoon summons are pretty active. The issue is that there are so many people trying to invade through them, it takes forever to cycle through them all.

D: I can't log on to dark souls, I was just online on MGS5 so I don't have network issues, that kills my shackles dueling!

D: back to trying to earn my 5 shackles.

1st summon, get immediately ganged up on by 2, one of which was just effectively turtling up in havels so that was fun.

2nd summon I saw my task was to kill the host or 3 phantoms, instantly crystalled out.

3rd mutual kill and I didn't get a shackle! BOOOOOOOOO

Got 2 more shackles so far but GA + Havel's shield is so dumb, you can't break the shield and you can't parry the GA.

Shackles done and just got Darkmoon Ring.

So just the other 20 ears to go -_-

I remember one of my Darkmoon summonings was in Archdragon Peak. Me and two other Darkmoons got summoned in. It was hilariously bad for the invader. He tried to lose us in the mobs, but the other two staggered him and I caught him and R1 spammed him off the ledge.

Later I got summoned into that same person's game, due to the same invader. This time he was trying to gank the host at the way of the dragon. The host was trying to fight him, but it wasn't going well, so the host ran away. Then I was dealing with him and the big axe one came down. I thought I was gonna die, but the host seeded the world. All the enemies turned on the invader who had turned and fled to recuperate amid all the lizard guys. The throwing axe one hit him in the back of the head, and the then the little dagger ones got him.

Being an invader ain't easy, hehe.

Been done with Darkmoon for a while.

Shackles have made me rage. A lot. Ganking, bad netcode, blah blah. 4-on-1's haven't been uncommon.

My least favorite thing about doing invasions as a purple guy is that other purple or red guys can hurt you, and they can and do choose to be *** sometimes.

Like one time I was in a 4v1, and I was actually winning. When I got it down to a 2v1, and I had the host blocked off from getting to a bonfire, a red phantom came in. We killed the host's other buddy, and then instead of just killing the host, the red dude stabbed me in the back.

Not accidentally, right, cause that does happen sometimes. The host was holding his distance, and running. Instead of running at him with me, the dude runs up to my back and backstabs me. Then we got locked in a fight, because he kept attacking me. We fought, and I nearly killed him, but he killed me. Then the host comes up and kills him. Like, way to go, jack ***. Now neither of us gets anything.

I don't know a lot about dark souls 2 lore. But i know of one character.
Pray tell me. Did you Remember her name?
Do they make a reference to her in DS3? I have no idea.

She's one of my favorite characters from a souls game. Very depressing storyline T_T

Same with Yhorm as well. His is very tragic.
