I thought att didn't affect blu magic dmg. How then do we raise ratio? Just stack the bejesus out of the 1-2 stat mods?

Blu magic still has attack, it just doesn't use weapon attack. Blue skill is what adds blue attack and there's little we can do to change it other than use spells on weak mobs I guess.

Is there a hard floor on how much defense you can drop a mob down? *not the -%, but the actual defense score* I have a defdown magian sword and boxstep so stuff gets squishy pretty quick.
I did an amorphic spikes for almost 4k and I was like D: because I was doing 2kish before.

edit: I have 5/5 physical potency merited fwiw

Could probably drop mobs down to 1 with that sword, Dia2, Box Step, Angon, and Benthic's effect lol

Never tried it though!

I'd imagine the DEF floor is 0 def but I couldn't be sure on that. Most def - is % based and not a direct reduction to def numbers so it'd be hard to get it all the way down since many def downs don't stack. Plus, I don't really have the mathy background to test that sort of thing ^^;

Angon and benthic don't stack though. Benthic will prevent angon iirc.

Though for any mob that can steal buffs... you could let them steal counterstance ^^; that'd be effective in ruining their def.

D+22 ウェポンスキルダメージ+5
Lv99~ 忍

This is an 80D katana with weaponskill damage+5%. The implications that arise from this for the sword are astounding. Looking at an 83+ D sword here, personally suspect it'll be 85~88 if not 90 or more if it follows weapon patterns.

The Iztaasu is the sword from Skirmish, right? That will be a sexy model for a sexy sword.

Any speculation, however wild, on how it might impact Almace/Shikargar owners?

No speculation about it, the sword undoubtedly replaces 90 and 95 Almace, as well as very possibly 99 Almace and that's before seeing additional stats outside of a projected D range. It replaces Shikargar as well, but for 95% of people you'll want to mainhand it, not offhand.

Atleast we're able to fall onto Requiescat as our primary Weapon skill, I have done some pretty nice numbers with it.

Looks like my requi set isn't useless afterall lol. But having it 1/5 even post adjustment might suck :(. Needed room for other WSs! lol

Well, there goes my plan to demerit Requiescat, and the value of my favorite weapon. Does that mean Toci's just became a Heavy Strike piece? D:

Brb, gonna go drink a shower beer and have a cry.

I'm actually happy here. Although being Zorro was fun I missed Req to Quad Cont SC damage. But 3 questions arise:

What is better to Offhand with this Shik or the Narkuul sword?

How the hell do you get into skirmish?

How do you get the stones to augment?

I'm pretty sure the stones also come from skirmish, but i'm not 100% positive as I've not tried it yet.

These events are not easily accessible at this time, so don't go tossing your almaces yet. Almace will still probably be the easier weapon for a while. I need to go 99 mine now... 95 isn't cutting it ; ;

Perhaps they'll allow weapons to get off hand benefits. So AM3 for an offhand tizona and chant for an offhand almace. It'd be epic, and secure tizona as the best offhand weapon forever.

I doubt that'll be what happens since that doesn't help the 2-handed REMs very much.

I think it only falls behind because of how much DEX you need to lose in order to accommodate it into builds. So, might be useful later? Dunno.

What builds are you comparing to come up with that big of a loss Pro?

Offhand Shikargar -> Bihkah +1
Head Khepri -> Thurandaut
Feet Thaumas -> Enif

Less loss if using Oce +1/Nema for TP, but still heavy. Hand swaps instead of weapon (Thaumas/Nomkhapa -> Miodio/Enif/Murzim) have varying levels of pain to them.
