Never done a ws trial weapon before. Does it have to be mainhanded for trial?

Since this post, it was tested by me and probably many others and I can confirm its very viable and wins for pure damage on blu by far.

Just playing around on low lvl content its crazy potent.

Just made a Machaera +2 with the 1k tp bonus effect. So far given that my attack ratio is good (~3k attack: frailty/fury, chaos roll, beserk, nature's meditation) @1500 tp it performs like my Tizona/Almace combo at 2500~3k tp. 40~46k expaicions on apex bats and pugils. Just a ~15 min observation though not a large sample size. In ws set I have STR:98+269, DEX:106+194, INT:94+130. Went all out in blu spells to boost str bascially.

Pretty cool so far!

Where did everyone go for the demon trials? Tried range but they die before I can even ws even with junk sword mainhand. BG lists range as highest demons level wise.

Firstly you take off ilvl gear, Just have capped haste.

Then optimally you probably do abyssea with 3 regain atmas A_vunk has a nice selection.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't you want Molting Plumage to get 1 more tier of DW? Then you'd be a hair under cap with Adhemar+1 body (iirc). I was under the impression this was better over 1 more tier of accuracy bonus and allowed for more multi att gear.

You "want" more acc specifically because of the offhand. Whether or not it's the "optimal" setup, idk.

You ar eright Boshi, I was looking at ST +8 STR too, but I guess Embalmin has +6, so not much worse.

So 2 slots and 8 points, so what else we can get theere beside the options I listed?
e) Tenebral Crush (good nuke + macc trait + def down)
f) Barrier Tusk + White Wind (DT and group heal)
g) Barrier Tusk + Dart (HP trait)
h) Barrier Tusk + Winds of Promyvion (DT and erasega)

Can probably also replace magic fruit with white wind and do more combos, but I guess everyone can figure out what else he want :P

I'm using guide on main page for expiacion and the spellset listed above and I am getting nowhere near these numbers on apex bats. Hitting around 17k. Is the main ws guide still accurate? Machaera +2, 47wsd, str 106+143, int99+115, dex95+180. I lack +2 neck and the trove ws ring.

Sounds like a Pdif problem. What were your buffs and debuffs?

Got it to 33k-36k. I'll work on missing gear and better augs. Right now my savage blade wins out.

Edit: I looked at your list and figured out what was missing from a dps setup:
sinker drill - critDmg+11% (I guess white dmg isn't -as- important with nonilvl offhand and no cdc)

Returning player...isn't "Sinker Drill" (Crit Bonus) a thing we use anymore?

Sinker drill was dropped intentionally. I found other thing more useful for Expiacion focused build. That being said I use hybrid build 95% of the time because I don't need that extra accuracy for Thibron for most stuff I do.

and I drop 2 spells from store TP if I need things like:
Anvil (for magic damage)

and I would also drop Cocoon and Dream Flower for Rail Cannon and Paralyzing Triad if I would set up for something like 4 step double light with Rail Cannon magic burst, or Darkness skillchain with Tenebral MB

Why do you have subduction in there?

Its awesome....also instant AoE with heavy effect

One of the best spells for overall use like AoE killing trash in einherjar, salvage, nyzul, delve, vagary etc. (it has very small recast, its ready to sue when you finish casting if you ahve enough haste and is very cheap) and like Taint said, it has gravity effect and that gravity is VERY potent (highest in game?). Mobs look like they are doing moonwalk when you hit them with it. It also activates MAB trait on its own, so if I take away Dream flower to set something I mentioned above, I still keep MAB trait with just Subduction.

I agree. Unless I'm doing a focused event, Subduction is pretty much always there lol. Love my little ***-blaster spell .

Wish I could partake in the Tizona fun...

An Almace question - In general, is it better to spam CDC at 1000 TP and settle for full-time AM1, or actually bother with AM3 maintenance for the increased ODT rate?
