I can pretty much copy that set, but doesn't blu need att? Pros belt no good? I don't have Wanion, so I can't quite copy OP's. And are you sure tumbler beat Thaumas legs?
Yeah, I'm sure they do, they're second or third best legs even now.

BLU isn't that attack starved as /WAR usually, and Prosilio's double attack -5% really downgrades the usefulness in CdC.

Speculatively, you'd need to be using 4 pieces of thaumas in CdC to beat the old set I posted.

Looks like this is just more of an inventory cram then lol. I have athos boots/gloves so I'll just go with that set up. I guess if I get Oce legs, I can swap feet for thaumas.

cuchulains belt is a decent holdover until Wanion. u lose some attack, but u dont lose the DA from the Prosilo.

for belts cuchu for capped acc and anguinus for uncapped acc on CdC, you probrably wont be capped on attack on anything that matters most likely

This is what my current Cdc set is looking like

I havent been able to get on in the last 3 months due to work & moving to a new place. Im on my last stretch of wotg missions for moonshade. My question is about legs. Should I be aiming for Abatteur or am I better off with Athos? Im guessing for the days I use athos gloves, it'd be more beneficial to pair up with athos legs. I havent done much meebles but a lot more people seem to like it now, so i figure hopping in a group wont be too difficult.

Yup...screw it. White box complex strikes again.. just dropped 3.2M on oce head+1. I figured it's probably the best TP piece for blu anyways though.

until you get your thamaus body then you'd switch back to +2 empy head but it's still first or second best with cdc with toci combo

edit: yes night mentioned that a few pages back when he was comparing tumbler trunks to athos legs to khepri to abbateur

Not entirely true. Oce +1 is still the superior TP piece where dDEX is seeing decent gain (being on the high end of the spectrum will not be uncommon for blu) and acc is capped. That's ignoring the minor~moderate defensive benefits

Does Tourbillion's Defense down have a long duration or does it not stick 100% of the time?

I've been using Bilgestorm for Salvage II end bosses for the my initial CDC/CA/Efflux stuff and, I can see it works, but only because I can see it wear off shortly after.

My main questions following this though is, should I gear tourbillion for damage or M.acc? And is it possible that bilgestorms duration is based on resistance levels, or is it fixed?

Edit: Just read up on BG for Tourbillion, should've done that first lol ><

Tourbillion's macc is floored at basically all times along with a ton of other spells. It's useful for closing light if you have no other options but otherwise nothing else, and I expect the fix will never come since it's been broken forever now.

I'm slowly working my way to obtain Almace and would like to know what would be a good sub weapon in the meantime for STR sword main?

Also has anyone compared x2 Str swords to 85/90 Almace with STR sub?

Almace/STR will win without plus it will cost a hell of a lot less. Just use something cheap like Isador with your STR shikargar til you finish Almace.

Haven't seen anyone compare them just understand that one handers are white damage jobs, granted now we have weaponskills that do great damage a lot of our damage comes from our dps. The ODD(applying to our multi attacks on the sword) is a huge factor in making Almace stronger than other swords as well as the weaponskill attached to it. Dex to help your acc on the sword and in capped acc situations dDex to increase your crit hit ratio.

the only valid comparison you could make with double str swords being better than almace/str is after a wyrm has flown into the air and needs to be spammed spells to make it touchdown like in ks99 wyrm, but sanus ensis and str shikargar would be better.

Perhaps too broad a question, but I was curious if there is any info on how Portus Collar compares to Rancor Collar in overall DoT. Is the TP gain offered by Portus significantly better than the added crit of rancor on every hit? Just wondered if anyone had any data, thinking of trying to get Portus.

Well, Portus Collar is listed as the best neck for the TP phase, and I know Proth does the math stuff, so I'd assume it would edge it out, but by what percentage I'm not certain. Rancor is definitely a great choice until a Portus though.

The difference is marginal, but I can't imagine Rancor coming ahead often, if at all

The best I can get portus winning is by ~1% and thats on fodder, where crit rate is already quite high due to dDex. Portus seems to win in basically all situations with relevant buffs, just not by much.

Edit: I get rancor ahead on high level targets until you throw on an acc buff of ANY kind, then it loses again.

Best thing about portus is the distinct lack of +damage taken.

Only thing I've ever legitimately used it for is speeding up the slime meeble mission since they're rather resilient. Can pull one, doom it, sheep song, and start working on a second. Otherwise no aside from DW3

Activated navigation links throughout the guide. I'll be making sweeping revisions to some of the sections, updating outdated/vague information and adding additional information.

Really like the new adjustments, but I had a few questions.

You previously advocated Smart Grenade over Cheruski for TP. What changed?

Which situations would you advocate the use of Triumphant Roar? None of the sets contain the spell.

Are Tumbler Trunks out as an alternative for CDC, being replaced by Mavi for lower end sets?

What made Khepri overtake Thaumas for best TP legs?

1) I remembered that Cheruski exists

2) any time you're doing physical damage and have it set. the net gain outweighs the cost to maintain it

3) nope I just forgot to add those on

4) all dat dex. if you need accuracy, thaumas are still best. i'll add that in too

amended, also added miodio gloves in there

Side note, I had prepared some Requiescat sets as well but I've reached my character limit for that post. Probably add a link in there somewhere leading to them instead

Alright, now I can get rid of that damn grenade, works for me.

Not to seem like I want to be spoonfed information, but which spell would you really recommend replacing for Triumphant Roar? I understand in some spell sets with left-over slots, such as /nin, but for the all-out DD you are at the limits for your set points.

I'll keep using the two to see which I like better for now, thanks.

I figured it was the dex, but wasn't sure if the slight extra attack would be a solid option. Crits yo. Thanks for the clarification. I've resigned myself to avoid math as much as possible, so apologies if I ask any questions that are obvious to people with the smart.

I was going to say that I saw Store TP missing from one of the sets, but either I'm crazy/blind, or you ninja-edited to include it.
