I wasn't expecting another 100/1200 trait+1, but jesus I've been let down. I'm not entirely complaining but ***... that is terrible for all that work....
Basically finishing gifts will be good for nothing more than a personal disco party and the ability to do an aeonic.

Utterly horrendous letdown. Spending 100 JPs on BLU provides more benefit than the last 900.
Let's pray that Reisenjima and the final chapter of RoV can make up for this.

I mean, I would have just taken another WSC increase and not really complained- my hopes were pretty grounded already.
Maybe because the other special gifts weren't generic garbage?
It's a cop-out in my opinion. They didn't design anything special for each job. They just threw a universal bonus and called it a day. I wanted unique bonuses and abilities based on each job. Something that truly displayed the epitome of what the job is about. Instead, it's a uniform change.
It's a nice little bump, I'll admit, but it's the principle behind the decision with which I take issue. Well. Sequence looks ok. Little irritated that Requiescat is the weapon skill attached to it, but hey let's go for broke at this point lol.
Luckily the stats on the sword itself are good enough to make it worth looking at as a mainhand, Requiescat is trash even if you do get to do a fancy new skillchain with it
+500TP on every WS, +10STP, and that base damage (and if it isn't a typo it also has higher ilvl skill than anything else) make it p incredible just by itself Well.. they claimed to give REM a boost in accordance with the new Aeonic weapons. I wonder if that will mean the skill/damage boosts with some extras minus the aftermath obviously.
Don't see them readded to .dats yet unless that's planned for a future update. Says you can't complete them now anyways so probably. When I said Azure Acumen, that was my optimistic guess/wishful thinking. I know not to expect too much from SE, but the amount of copy-paste *** in this update is staggering.
Stat vomit on Sequence is high enough to suggest some pretty potent buffs for Tizona whenever they get around to REM adjustments. MDMG+186 though, holy ***. Can we get MDMG on Tizona too so I can just DW those forever?

Man I really hoped we would get new weaponskill animations. I bet these new skillchains w/bonus to MB will be huge though. Considering how strong they are already, it will get even crazier.
CDC -> CDC -> Requiescat could be a worthy chain if you have the TP generation to support it. This is assuming the skillchains don't require a specific property to set off, which is a lofty assumption.

It's the sword the PLD was holding in preview images.
Can't say I care for it and definitely don't think it fits the BLU aesthetic, so I'd happily lockstyle something else in over it. Same criticism I had of weapons like Almace and Claid basically, they're clearly designed with an eye towards PLD and don't fit RDM or BLU all that well. Everybody is welcome to their opinion, but if you don't lockstyle double kilij as a BLU, you're wrong and I hate you.

Double Hofud ftw. It is by far the best looking sword in the game imo and fits in the concept of BLU as well.
