He meant he wouldn't be getting marches. Since they would be bringing a cor instead of a bard.

This campaign is awesome with the skirmish augments. Just got MACC+30/PDT-4% on my hagondes cuffs +1 for 50 MACC hands. Rest of my sets I capped out the PDT/MDT and got 2 DA on iutil for PDT set etc.

Don't MG and flutter cap magic haste?

Edit: I just saw the part where he said just flutter.

I kinda almost wish that MG counted as JA haste, as stupid and ridiculous as that would be for a spell that's already stupid and ridiculous C: a good amount of the haste from MG actually goes to waste.

15% JA haste from a spell would be EXTREMELY STUPID though, so it's just baseless musing. Alternatively, they should give BLU a spell that instantly kills anything it touches, that would solve a lot of problems.

Does seem to help to counteract if you ever get Slowga'd, not like we have too much of an issue with that when you can Winds yourself and your party...

Is Iris the best Jon mythic sword? I was going to get a nibiru but a mate told me that Iris is none mythic best option and that I should dual wield 2. I. Assuming accuracy path but just wanted to confirm since guide made it seem like it wasn't worth it to get Iris.

No, I'm afraid that your mate is quite incorrect. Iris was close to being a great sword, but the augment paths and base stats just cannot add up to other options. No DEX modifier, no multi-attack and lower accuracy than a Nibiru Path A hurt it too much. Claid/Nibiru remains the strongest combination outside of a mythic.

I want to say that Iris is not a bad sword. However, I strongly recommend not investing your time into it, as it is an inferior option.

Do any of the SoA rings stand out for BLU? Seems like quite a few good options (WS, Refresh, DT) - curious what other BLUs think/took.

Iris does have some potential tactical utility as both as hybrid weapon and a MACC offhand for high-resist nuking.

Weatherspoon is the standout one-ring-to-rule-them-all SoA ring for BLU.

Adoulin ring seems like a good all around ring. Renaye ring has Blue magic skill on it, if that sort of thing is important to you. Vocane ring looks cool for like a mini D ring in your -DT oh ***button set.

I took the go fast ring, though, because I haven't gotten around to getting another move speed piece on BLU.

I think they may mean nuking? Cause it certainly seems superior to Nibiru and Claid for BLU magic shenanigans.
It's basically a club, 108Mdmg and with path D that'll be: ~223Macc (201 Macc skill, 30 blue magic skill, 15 hard Macc) and 29 MAB... with even a nice 7% cast time down.
Verses Nibiru path C's ~184 Macc (188 Macc skill + 15 hard Macc) and 15 MAB.

Nehushtanx2 still remains best nuking option iirc, but Iris+Nehu lets you keep sanguine blade.

Nehushtanx2 was never particularly good for nuking, both from a performance and an obtainability standpoint. They're inferior even to Gabaxoreas.

From a nuking standpoint, Nibiru Cudgelx2 is still typically superior; however, as I already mentioned, Iris D would be pretty good offhand on resistant targets. Vampirism, while capable of higher magic damage than Iris, do require luck with augments, don't have any melee accuracy, and don't have as much MACC. They do, of course, have some other advantages over Iris.

Why would they mean nuking when talking about swords? Clubs (as in the weapon type) are by far the better option than compared to swords. He even asks if it's the best non mythic sword but you don't see mythic blu's nuking with Tizona on.

Nehushtans are pretty damn bad for nuking. Not even close to the top.

Our absolute best nuking weapons right now are dual Nibiru Cudgels. Tons of MAB, MD, INT, and MACC. Vampirisms come fairly close, and they also provide some great bonuses, namely that they're swords and allow the usage of Sanguine. That fast cast and piercing damage are also large benefits.

I carry around 2x maxed nibiru cudgels, my tizona, and my nibiru blade. Nibiru cudgels are hands down best for nuking elemental magic. If I'm meleeing, I"m gonna be tizona/nibiru blade, otherwise, if I'm nuking I'm not gonna be engaged, I'm gonna use my clubs and usually not be swinging at the mob I'm nuking. I've never done that whole stupid "battle casting" thing where you wear two swords with magic damage (like vampirism x2, or iris, etc.) and nuke while meleeing. Either you're gimping your physical damage to nuke, or your gimping your magic damage to melee.

So you can have 2 path D Iris? For +60 Blue Magic Skill? That should get us to break 600 Skill for a 12 Shadow :3

Could use for pre-buff to a fight. Lotta work for another shadow, but when the games ends don't you want to have a Perfect BLU?!

Another thing, does Magic Barrier go past 500? I may have asked this before. 600+ Barrier would be a nice pre-buff too!

Yes I know I really should have used the sarcasm function it was more for the "umm, huh?" of floppy's post. I know full well that Nibiru Cudgels are the best weapon to have for casting but they somehow disagree with that.

Also don't want to lose TP just to cast occultation, or carry around two extra swords JUST for one spell. I won't lose any sleep with "just" 11 shadows.

Prefight, son! No TP to lose!

When there are no more updates, why would you not maximize BLU to the extreme?
