It doesn't do that (and I'm not sure why you would think it would >_>;;)

A straight 10% increase to light damage is going to totally destroy every other option for basically anything that deals light damage.

It's not affinity (well, it *could* occupy the same term but I have a suspicion that it doesn't)- nor is the effect on obis for that matter.
With Haverton ring, is therevany major gear change to do on the TP phase? No Shetal stone yet so Winbuffet+1, assuming the rest is like the guide's gearsets
The only situation in which I could really see Haverton being useful would be solo with self-buffs only (no trusts). It could possibly replace Rajas for TP, but I haven't actually checked the numbers on it. I loathe giving up STP, but there's a chance the 5 DW would be superior for delay reduction. The recent DNC guide suggests doing so, but I don't know how the situation translates to BLU.
Best option kind of depends on how much dw you running for spells. I tend to dw3 and then suppanomimi and haverton. With capped magic haste, this puts it 1 dw away from capped delay (ie not good enough to give up 5 da on brutal). Better to trade Rajas for haverton, rather than windbuff+1 for Shetal stone by a wide margin. Of course if you run dw4, then suppanomimi to finish out delay cap.
I erased the rest of the quote and im a little late to the discussion about difference in body and other pieces for blu spells but anyway...
And also consider that sinker drill is 100% dex so two jupiters or the dex 3 ones would beat them for that, so maybe have a couple of different blu spell sets ¿? Not like we need 8 different ones anymore... ItemSet 331953 There is a neck piece from walk of echoes with STR+7 and +8 attack (Lacono necklace +1), also AF body +1 has 20 skill and thats attack for spells still, so you would have to find a body with more than 29 STR and 20 attack (or 20 X 0.9 attack) for it to be beat, as for head, Whirpool has well 4STR, 3DEX, 12 attack and 25 acc over relic head +1, 13 skill means at least 2 more base dmg, but you gain at least that from the extra str alone. About Sanguine blade...
I have been using Floestone, since int is multiplied by 2 and that equates to 10 mdmg, and the str is a 30% WSC, so, if the formula floors after WSC X fTP floestone is equal to 12 mdmg (kinda), maybe... cause if it floors on WSC, 3X30% = 0.9 so maybe that couldnt even count depending on the total STR, anyway, its at least 10 mdmg and you dont have to carry the tathlum. But since i dont know where the formula for sanguine blade floors i cant know for sure... Anyway... thats close enough for me =/ Thank you for the advice, was thinking about changing my adoulin mission reward ring and wasn' sure where haverton was fitting now even if I rereaded the discussion in earlier pages...

I have an old sheet that deals with calculating magic damage:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/74057669/Damage%20Spreadsheets/WS.gnumeric it's pretty ancient, you'll need to add new gear and new spells yourself. don't use it for physical spells or weaponskills, it includes no post-adoulin physical spell or WS adjustments and uses an archaic version of fSTR and pDIF. Also win for fenrir vs shivas since 10MD+ beat out the 18 int. Again all done without the proper spreadsheet but still best avaiable to work with. Don't use the BLM spreadsheets (unless you heavily modify them) for calculating BLU spells. Fenrir's most certainly do not beat Shiva's. There is a Charged Whisker spreadsheet somewhere out there made by Yugl- but it would require some hunting to find. It would be easier to modify that into a Subduction spreadsheet. Couldn't find the sheet, and have not messed with proths. Just decided to test. Shiva+1 netted a 48 damage gain vs fenrir+1 now the gaisn will likely shift if I rep second fenrir for another shiva but shiva does indeed win out. Siren.Kyte

The second one will yield the same increase in damage. There won't be a diminished return in the absolute increase.
Do sombra tights or the HQ end up beating 2DA Iuitl Tights for any of our low-haste scenarios? I just hate giving up STP, but I'm not sure how beneficial the extra delay reduction would be.

I am not sure if i used the spreadsheet right, but looks like Sombra Tights +1, Windbuffet +1 and DW earring combo is better DPS than Iuitl +1, Shetal Stone, Brutal/Suppa. It's not much on fodder but the set with sombra legs gets better with higher level targets. Odin.Nikia said: » Does your Iuitl +1 have +2DA? I would need to check again but if I recall right DW pants fell behind. I added 2% DA, yes Assuming a mob is neutral to both Slashing and Piercing, is Sinker Drill outright a stronger spell than Thrashing Assault? I can't ever seem to get Thrashing's damage higher than Sinker and its hard to justify the higher MP cost. Does it have a higher att mod or something?
Also what are most of you doing with Efflux these days? Stack with CA for SC? Use separately? Are Mavi Tayt+2 still BiS with Efflux up vs say Quihuetz Trousers with its +25 attack and augmented with +8 STR? Offline

Posted a while ago after burning my blu to 99, and now have nearly all my spells and it feels great. Loving blu, loving what I can do. Even just solo JP farming, not having to worry about trusts haste/earsing/etc. me is fantastic, plus the extra support is good in my little group of friends.
Just running into a small problem now. I need Iuitl gear now but on Fenrir no one does Skirmish. Or at least not frequently enough I'll probably end up needing to get all the pieces. Is it soloable? Best to get nq from Yorcia and then work on upgrading or just try and get +1s from the start? TL;DR Treat me like I'm 8 years old and trying to get skirmish armor. Also fairly sure tayt are bis when using efflux still. haven't run tests/#s so i very well could be dead wrong tho never going to be casting spells outside of SC anyway, may as well make the most of reduced JA delay (JA -> JA/WS cuts off a second) and higher SC damage by stacking Yorcia skirmish is 100% soloable, at least the primary objective. When I first came back to the game in September after about a year and a half break, I was rocking sparks + bayld gear and was easily able to do 2/2/2 Yorcias. As soon as I got some WKR pieces and a few skirmish armors, I went up to 3/3/3 with no issue. I haven't done any Yorcia in quite some time, but I assume that with reforged and 2.0 gear you'd be completely fine with 4+.
Once you feel comfortable with your gear, you'll easily be able to join Ra'Kaznar skirmish shouts for your KI. You can only get NQ armor from Yorcia; all of the HQ requires the Vial of Transmelange KI from Ra'Ka. If you really can't find any Ra'Ka shouts, you could solo low tier pops. Avoid NMs and only kill easy enemies and pop all of the Noetic Ascensions you find for fragments and you'll be able to complete the primary objective just fine. Offline

Keeping in mind I obviously don't have any Hagondes yet. And what level segments recommended? I was thinking highest tier head/legs I can afford, then start with low level bodies until I find the highest level I feel comfortable working with? Only done one skirmish right when the Alluvion ones started and I just jacked the entire run up for my pug so yeah. Offline

I must be crazy, could have sworn I had read the +1s can drop from Ra'Kaznar the key items to upgrade to +1 drop in rakaznar rather than the armor itself
