double haste spells don't concern me as much as the spells that have never been useful before; i.e., Mortal Ray and Blazing Bound.
I'm honestly not even sure if mortal ray has ever landed on anything for me. But I used blazing bound a few times to pull mobs before dart came out, so it's obviously worth it.

It lands on fodder pretty easily, but it has a ridiculous casting time and MP cost... and it's like a 60 count doom, so you could let Joachim kill the mob with pebbles before the doom would. It's utterly useless. Hi guys, I'm just starting to get back into BLU after a 1-2 year break from the job and have found this thread very useful. I had a question pertaining to spell sets. I am currently using AzureSets addon and have made profiles based on the few sets listed int he OP, was wondering if anyone could share some spell sets beyond those listed in the OP. I'd like to be able to use Sinker Drill along with a few other spells but until I cap out job points I find myself running short on set points while keeping the DD spec spells set. Thanks!
I can send you mine Harmless. I'm only at 6/10 on the Blue Points JP's. But it's pretty easy to setup. Unfortunately I'm not at my home computer to paste it or send it to you atm.
I just have sets for: DD Salvage (Treasure Hunter) Nuking (Subduction farming) (And the standard proc spell sets that I never use) Matsui's post about the upcoming update clarifies the weaponskill changes:
"- Adjustments so that certain weapon skills that had bonuses applied to only the first hit will have the bonus applied to all hits" Sooo can we safely assume that CDC is about to go crazy? @Harmless, This is the spell set I use for most solo stuff: -Triple Attack- Acrid Stream Demoralizing Roar Empty Thrash Heavy Strike -Dual Wield- Animating Wail Blazing Bound Quadratic Continuum Delta Thrust Mortal Ray Barbed Crescent -Treasure Hunter- Charged Whisker Everyone's Grudge Amorphic Spikes -Store TP- Sudden Lunge Fantod -Other Spells- Battery Charge Dream Flower Magic Fruit Coccoon Erratic Flutter Regeneration I have 7 extra points from job points, so when I cap I can add Occultation or some other low cost utility spell like Saline Coat if needed. But the crit chance factor is already applied to all hits, isn't it? Edit: That only leaves the ftp bonus to be taken into account for his statement... or not? ; ; yes, that isn't one of the possibilities. fTP or ACC bonus rollovers are the major options that I can think of

Perhaps could be gorgets that raise fTP apply to all hits, or WSD% items work for all hits, or all hits have a chance to double attack?...just throwing out some other potential....why do they have to be so vague?

Even if its only acc, standardized damage would be a benefit. Anything we get helps close the Gap. Would be nice to pull ahead of bandwagon Tsu Sams, here is to hope.

Is it also possible that the secondary modifiers might be carrying over to additional hits, or does that not make sense? Doesn't that bonus only apply to the first hit?

Ah ok, I thought that they only applied to the first hit but I wasn't sure.
Tomorrow is the day all of my fellow blue mages. Do your best to out parse everyone you can. This may be the dawn of the blu era!

In all seriousness Blu should own Mnk if we get a good bonus to wsd Looking forward to see what traits are on the new spells. Hopefully a DW spell so we can remove Wail.
I'm expecting DW and auto-refresh.
