Example: Doing turul, oh hey look a bst claimed it and is LITERALLY ALT TABBED WHILE HIS PET SOLOS IT LOL! In order for me to kill it I'd need to be NIN + WHM dual boxing, keeping barthundra up, keeping haste up, keeping shadows up, switching to MDB gear for nukes, silenaing, staying out of it's AOE silence range on my mule, keeping my back to the wall, etc.(yes I am aware that turul is a complete joke to kill, but most of these bad players playing bst could never dream of killing it with 2 people on REAL jobs, even for a complete joke NM that a competent player could dual box np)

Tell me, which requires someone to actually be at their keyboard?

on bst i have pet pdt, pet mdt,pet tp, pet ws, reward, master tp, master ws,master mdt, master pdt,and i swap gear more than most nin drk sam war do so you likely have only seen people that dont know the job kiaru

What you said is not needed at all, you literally do not need to do any of those actions to be successful at bst, which is the problem with the job. Read what I typed carefully.

AND BST dosen't. I have self -MDB -PDT EVA on my bst. Then again I'm not this derp *** bunch of lazy motherf**kers that the only macro they had to 99 was /item "Forbidden Key" <t> that's giving the rest of us a bad name. I have respect for real bsts, but the fact that my cat could be successful at your job because of what SE has done to it is why I hate the job so much.

Post video of your cat soloing an NM then....just set up a camera set your cat in front of the PC hit rec and walk out of the room. And I don't mean a LOLNM either gotta be something like Kirin or a T1/T2 VW

so everyone should drop bst even if they soloed it to 75 as their first maat job then pay for a second account to level whm so that they could do something dual box instead of solo it

The issue is the bandwagoners vs the careers...I know quite a few BSTs that take the job 100% seriously, and I take them seriously as a result. However, competing with perle bsts for NMs that they take 1~2hrs to kill via afk is absolutely frustrating. Not to mention the same breed of bsts clogging up dynamis.

That's what's annoying me and I said it earlier the /item "Forbidden Key" <t> BST has ruined peoples impression of us as a whole. And it is SE's fault for revamping dynamis. Is it nice gil? yes. On the flipside we now have a game full of derp BST's that's SOLE purpose for leveling it was "oooo i can get shiny coiny thingys and make a aaaallll kinda moneys!"

This is exactly what I'm saying, dealing with full perle bsts soloing some NM without even proccing blue or anything for hours is the most frustrating thing I've ever experienced in a video game.

It frustrates me too as a BST having to wait in line behind these fools.

Whats frustrating is being a main bst with a relic and still cant join anything cause any crappy mnk,war,sam,drk is suppose a better dd. So now i have to go lvl a new job just to get invited to anything.

well op person look at the sets that were posted they are very solid sets but the only way you will learn bst is to play bst we dont get many parties

Once bard buffs, embrava, shell, and temps transfer to pets then bst and PUP will be viable DD's, until then not really :(

I'll still out dmg most of them, ppl just too ignorent to invite me as bst.

I have a Perle Bst, (well Perle body) u mad? I just don't use it to solo tough NM's xD lol

i am semi-new BST. Soloed most my seals and plus2 items. But I am mostly a melee BST. I know what you mean about taking forever to kill something or pulling to many mobs. I do my best to be respectful of others and there time. It's not a crime to be a pearl BST. But I would not stay one for long. If I am taking to long I always ask what plp need if there waiting.

I only have a problem with BST in dynamis. If you are doing seal NM on bst in Aby you are only huting yourself since there are still a ton of seal shouts(at least on my server) and you kill faster with other jobs and proc.. Last night I entered dynamis qufim with 5 ppl and 15 min later 32. I never saw so much perle in one zone since lvl 90 and most of these guys were still using Rampage.

When I did carabosse at lvl 85 I never saw a bst killing it besides me. I had tons of tells like "How in the hell can BST solo this guy" It felt pretty cool till about lvl 90 than I saw NIN soloing it and I felt that was more impressive so I changed my strategy.

If I could give the OP advice I would say Bst is situational lol

If you are going to solo Abyssea It more about your Atmas than it is your gear. Any PDT axes/gear you can get is bonus but not needed. Razed Ruins Mountain Champion and Ducal Guard are all you really need. I myself dont use ducal that much and swap it out for Vissitude which has similar stats to MM plus some mag def.

If you plan to solo dynamis I would focus ON pure DD damage get 5/5 ruinator. Merit Killer Effects Make a str axe and DA +11 axe. (just make sure you main hand the DA axe as it has more base dmg. (I see several ppl who went this route and main hand str axe)

If you plan on doing VW just level a diff job because you are not getting a invite.

That is true. While I love my BST it's for playing alone. With other people I have NIN or <insertsomeotherDDjobhere>
