FF11 Online timer/clock (Times for airships coming and going, moon phases etc.)
Does anyone know how I can change the FFXI mini-search bar to search through FFXIclopedia instead of Somepage? The FFXI thingy I downloaded for Firefox is great, but I never use somepage to look up FFXI stuff. The other mini-search for google and such has an option to change the search engine but it has to be on a list of downloadable search engines on the Firefox page, and the only ones available are a bunch of wonky google-wanna bes. I'd love to be able to change it.
I did that.. but idk if it will be the same as in game though.. I know its easy.. but.. just gonna have to wait for tonight when I go in game.
To see. Sterling I can help.... Look at next thread of mine..

You wana click on settings Then Copy and paste this into which category you want to search http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search= Never thought about doing it till you said that so thanks! ^^; Edit- Neon lemme know if you get the clock working, if not i'l hopefully be able to help fix it. Just go directly to the webpage you want and change.. I dont go to somepage.com anymore and just substituted ffxiclopedia and used the FFXI atlas or Vanadiel Atlas.com pages... When ou want NPCs or Maps or w.e.. I'm pretty sure the Wikia or FFxiclopedia.org wud be the better search engine to link it to. Should be no second difference! ^^ eventually it will go slightly off for reasons unknown, but once you actually sync it it should be ontime.
Wow that is the shiz. Gracias.

Can you SS it or tell me? This is how mine looks: I just put the URL I posted in an earlier thread in the "Items" and just keep it on Items icon in the upper right corner there. Read previous pages, guys, and you may find answers. =P Neonracer said: Well there is a button under options says Syncronise time with game, but last night i did that and the Vana'deil clock and in game clock wasn't right as i wanted to pick my plants for harvesting. Good thing tho, b.c I think they were on the verge of wilting... I def want to make sure that it is synced.. so that every sec. counts.. I want to be as accurate as possible. Hope Zekky Sees this.... ZEKKKKKKKKKYYYYYYYYY.... Oi, oi, oi. I was asleep. @.@;; I just manually adjust the clock because my auto-sync doesn't work. I had to put +6 on my clock to make it 100% sync on my PC. 2-5 seconds off, Not bad at all. Thanks to all who have helped. the +6 helps.. but I also noticed that my clock keeps switching to PST to Est in the clock settings so i fixed that then worked down from +6 to liek +1.. so 2-4 secs off, not bad.. <^.^>b
Zekky said: Sorry guys! ><;; I was pseudo afk and running around Vana'diel. I looked into the application and found out it is on Firefox's website now. Firefox's Official FFXI Helper App {Please forgive me.} And this one works. Hope everyone enjoys it! Rebumping this URL.

Bump.
There are a bunch of new people on the forums that may want to know about this. =3 Not compatible with Firefox 3.5 :/
edit: there's a new, experimental version for 3.5 https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/13688 I don't like how it takes up an entire bar all to itself and can't be customized as far as buttons go. I'm just hiding the thing and using the clock since I've been sad to have lost it since going to Firefox 3. There ya go.
I hadn't seen if there was an update recently so I just reposted the old link. Thanks, Sammitch. There's also this if you want to add ffxiah to your Firefox search box:
http://mycroft.mozdev.org/search-engines.html?name=ffxiah.com Just going to wiki will pop up an option in your search box options to add it. Fenrir.Parak

For those of you that have iPod touch or iPhone...
There is an App that does airship times, shows when crafting guilds are open, moon phases etc. called Vanamini! Only a buck and VERY handy. Get it :) Infobar Plugin for Windower. A bar at the top of the screen. Press CTRL+[.>]/[,<] to cycle through the bars.
Jesus. Why don't you just cluster *** your windower some more. <.<;
That is a screen shot of the multiple bars. Only one bar is visible. If this is a cluster *** I'd much prefer it to alt tabbing or having to look at a shitty phones app.
ooh! what's the map thingy?
ApRadar. I'm not sure what type of discussion is allowed here of third party tools. I'll just say all your needs are on the ffxi windower forums.
I suppose that works. I don't like seeing so many lines show up on my screen as it is. Also I monitor things from when I'm not online so I like the offline feature on my Firefox. And the alarms.

If this is a cluster *** I'd much prefer it to alt tabbing or having to look at a shitty phones app. Maybe it's just me but there's a lot more information displayed than i actually care about. like my XP and TNL (especially at 75) when i start getting merit points i know i'm at 43,999 i just don't go out of exp mode (never delevel that way!). Even my XP/hr i can mentally average it out based on time between merits. day/time are visable with the compass, and moon phase is just a /clock away if you need to know for crafting. Personally (and this is just me) i run with ApRadar next to my Recast both of them in my chat box (which is set to max lines). I've set Recast so that All the abilities/spells i cast *should* fit before it rolls over the TParty information, and alligned to the top chat line in box. After that i set my AP radar over my chat box right aligned off my Recast and more of a rectangle off sideways to about the middle of my chat box. I find that even with timestamp running "most" chat lines don't even hit the left edge of the window, and since i have a full opaque chat box i can run with a clearer AP radar to read what i need through it. This really leaves as much of my screen open as i can. Just post a screenshot. For the record my ApRadar is where it is to allow for the menu to be there when it pops up.
