Seriously though, I guess I'd just view situations where capping enhancing matters and situations where I wouldn't be /SCH to be mutually exclusive. But I'm not career WHM.

Drop the Fylgja Torque +1 and Orison Duckbills +2 and use Colossus's Torque and Zenith Pumps with cure potency+healing skill augments.

It's the AF3+2 variation of the maximum possible cure (on lightsday). I've calculated a few sets, and I've been unable to find any that performs better under perfectly ideal situations.

You'd loose 8MND and gain 10 skill, an overall gain of 6 power... at best you're looking at an extra ~4-9 HP on cure3-6. Seems a waste of an inventory slot on whitemage.

It's a nice thought, and I know we're talking about "optimal" sets, but realistically, no one has even seen the abjuration for that yet, which is just insult to injury on a T0 synth with rare ingredients.

Also, is there really any use for Augmented Zenith crown for Enhancing magic? I just don't see where it would be used. 500 is so easy to hit without it except on barspells where AF3+2 interferes with a few of the enhancing magic slots --> that said, it also interferes with the head slot.

Well switching Iaso +1 with af3+2 head will put the set short of 1% cure potency but i think is still a "reastically!" :P optimal set!

Just out of curiosity, has anyone actually managed to get both healing skill and cure potency on their zenith feet? I've gone through a LOT of tatters and haven't even gotten both on one try yet =( Good thing aquarian tatters are cheap.

At any rate, I just came back from a bit of a break, and trying to optimize my gear for the healing magic changes. I *think* this is the best I can get without having l.head. Puts me at 503 skill and +38 MND (with capped potency, obviously).Now I'm trying to figure out if Rubeus boots are worth getting and fitting into this set somehow.
I need to pick up a bishop's sash when I can catch one on the ah =(

Are there any whms other than me that have stopped using Orison legs in high MP situations(abyssea/VW)? I don't really notice MP issues on any efficient VW run due to a flow of temps/idle set.

Even though there are situations where where mp really isn't an issue, I always use them just to make sure I'm conserving as much mp as possible in case something drastically goes wrong and you need a lot of mp.

I've been using af2+2 in aby/vw lately, unless I know it's gonna be a proc hard/long fight where temps won't be flowing in. As a matter of fact, I keep my refresh gear in sack too now (minus said above circumstances). Inventory +4 is pretty nice >_>;

Unfortunatly is just a matter of pure lack, given you have a synergist 80.
I got +11 enhancing magic skill on my kirin's pole at the first try. I heard of people still 0/200+ on their pole and after that got only a +6. I can just say that there are synthesis easier to make HQ and some are harder, like byakko haidate have a lower rate of HQ3 than kirin osode/pole (eyeballing here). Still i didn't try to augment my zenith pumps because i can't find a cursed pumps -1 at a decent price. 7m no thanks.

Considering the NQ gets made at a profit and the HQ is a Tier 1 there is really no excuse. On my server there isn't even a stream of HQ being put up for sale, let alone any for a reasonable price, but then again there aren't any Blessed Pumps +1 for sale either and those are now a Tier 1 synth as well...

I don't think cursed pumps are T1 unless you have CC leveled past 60, which is why they've been so rare in the past. I also think a lot of crafters consider the cursed market pretty dead now, and just stay away from it.

At any rate, I got cure pot +3 and healing skill +5 (on nq) after 60 some-odd tries. I think the only way to get it is if you get an HQ3? Since summoning magic is the guaranteed augment.

I probably augmented them 100 times. I got them when healing skill wasn't as important and was originally hoping for cure potency +3% and some MND.

518skill: 1007

if it has a cap, its not 500.

Then armada hauberk would be able to get 7stp, which I can't say i've ever seen. Only the forced(I don't know what its called, the augment you always get when it's hq) goes higher I think. The forced HQ on shoes is smn skill :/
