Random Question Thread (FFXI Related)

When you get a new piece of gear:

//org freeze inventory export

Open the export lua in an editor
Copy the item from the export lua
Open the inventory folder and paste/edit the item for any jobs necessary
If you use it, update your GS and keep it in your invenotry
If you don't use it, update your GS anyway but put in in your dump bags with ALL the rest of your gear.

Change to BLU
//org o - pulls BLU gear into inventory
Change to SMN
//org o - pulls gear to inventory
Change back to BLU
//org g locker SMN - moves your SMN gear to your locker???
//org o - returns BLU gear to inventory


*This assumes you can condense your SMN gear to just the locker, but you could repeat with other [bag] as needed. That or condense your gear to one bag AND make that bag a dump bag so you don't have to add additional commands. Even better, load the //org o command with your job luas for ez mode and just pretend the GS integration isn't broken?


To be completely fair to whoever wrote them, a few lines of text isn't really enough to call instructions. Most people are smarter than I am and they are still not going to understand what is happening; even fewer would be able to predict what would happen unless they read and understood the code.

Anyone know what controls the Abyssea roaming Avatar NM spawns in the three Scars of Abyssea areas?

Bastion would make sense, as a thing nobody does. But I've never seen any of those three nerds. They're a big source of Amber light so I'd like to use them when farming if they're around when I show up, they just never are.
