Gonna be boring either way. What matters is how fast you get it over with so you can do the fun thing. Nah, that far back exp grind was basically the game. It was pretty easy for it to be fun, because you were always teaming up with people to do it.
And what made it fun was each person firing off their abilities and weaponskills while communicating about how / when to do it. There was a fun feedback loop where if your party was doing really well, everyone in the party would express joy. Then, of course, the socializing aspect during downtime/rest time/camp is congested time. The issue I have with cleave EXP being kinda boring is that once the CP band wears off, the Capacity points gain feels so small. Since I'm just with Trusts, there's only the game mechanics to give me joy. Monkey brain need see bigger number. Plus, with Valaineral it's a lot safer, but he also has his whole Uriel Blade spam routine now if even one toad is hitting me, so often I gotta switch targets just to be able to use my stuff. It feels clunky. I think I'll go snoop around other Apex sites and see if there's one with a more approachable evasion threshold that I can use. Woh Gates has apex toads, the easiest apex.
Any gates zone has starter apex, just probably avoid mandies lol 1030 acc is perfect for moh or sih (efts/jagils/chaupli) That moh eft camp was THE botspot for years. Asura.Aylaina

What are the strategies people use to find linkshells to join? I don't think just /yelling seems to be the best option, is there like a site or some place where recruitment goes on? Or is it a lot of "know a guy who knows a guy who has a cool 200+ player linkshell". Want to find something active because there's only so much I can do playing alone.
I tried the linkshell concierge and found 1 with a ton of people but 0 chatting/activity and then another that I've been able to do stuff with.
What kind of events are you looking to do? Asura.Aylaina

I have a smaller one that does dynamis wave 1/2 regularly, but haven't done much else in a while. I want one for other events, on top of having enough players to be able to throw together parties for stuff such as htbfs, cp/ml, and ambu. Been working pretty hard on my scholar but it's hard to get into yell groups since it's a lot of "whm only" and I haven't been able to grind cp for it yet.
Yeah, concierge is the way to go, aside looking for direct recomendation or invitation.
First when i restarted was looking at options and looking for the one with the most people. But indeed you arent lucky because i guess concierge reset all perals after update so you gonna need to wait for the refill. Do notice some LS nowaday also have activity in Discord. Check if the shell youre in have one, so maybe you can get more used to peeps around you. BLU no learnie learnie in stuff like Walk of Echoes right?

Correct, there's a lot of places that are exclusions like Walk of Echoes, UNMs, Odyssey, and a lot of other places that'd be really nice for learning spells.
is the comment on the ffxiah page for this item correct? https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Seidr_Cotehardie
It says the max mp you can get back is the initial cost of the nuke Asura.Fondue said: » is the comment on the ffxiah page for this item correct? https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Seidr_Cotehardie It says the max mp you can get back is the initial cost of the nuke Yeah, best you can do is get back the cost. You CAN learn spells in Sortie which was nice for some of them like Elemental spells. How do monster stat rank tables work?
For example, looking at https://w.atwiki.jp/bartlett3/pages/328.html and https://w.atwiki.jp/bartlett3/pages/327.html Apex Knight Lugcrawler, WAR/WAR at 140 is listed as 356VIT The tables show WAR has a D rank in VIT, Crawler has a C rank in VIT C rank provides 161, D rank 144. 161+144+144 = 449, way too high (assuming 356 is right) if WAR/WAR is 144/144 A 2011 BG Post suggests it's (monster rank portion) + (mainjob rank portion) + (subjob rank portion)/2 161+144+144/2 = 377. Closer, but still out by 20. Is there some other way to look at this to line up the numbers? Offline

I'm trying to wrap my head around why the K-Club is more expensive now than it was in the past. Does it even have a use anymore? It can't be just vanity...

So they do dumb ***with it. Like pay 700m for kraken clubs. Sortie made nothing buyable (even reforging empyrean is free), Gaol only has one time purchases, Odyssey only has currency, crafting hasn't gotten a new valuable in 5 years. No where for gil to go. Just piles up. Stock is also a huge reason. The drop rate on Kraken is still absolutely abysmal. Just because it's not a terribly useful item that most jobs use, doesn't mean it isn't valuable. For those drgs and rngs that do want it, they will pay, and if someone will pay, that's the value.
My sub isn't active so I can't test this
And for some reason the post sank to the bottom of the sea. https://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/57231/nvidia-remix-ffxi/ Oh now it shows up... Does anyone know what strength Qultada's rolls are?
he rolls in +0
basic naked rolls, and he gets the job bonus >50% <100% Sup, guys
Whats the best way to farm that money from Odyssey? And how would be the best use of daoly restriction on Odyssey? Thanks in advance Hop on THF and key boxes in B
Hit a mimic, get naked so you die fast and reraise I mean, the direct cash earned

Are there any armor pieces that get a "Cure Potency Received" augment?
EDIT: Other than Telchine and other Skirmish armors. Tarage said: » Are there any armor pieces that get a "Cure Potency Received" augment? https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Category:Escha_Rewards/Arcane_Glyptics_Inscription Anyone notice any Odin HBTF changes?
Went to get some friends some drops today on VD. After 50% he started to resist damage down to 50dmg Enspell damage very often, only got him to 30% with 5 min to go. Back when I was farming him religiously the most I usually got resisted after 50% was about 200-250 at best 25% of the time, and he'd be dead at 20-25min depending on resists. PLD WAR DRK only though. Odin htbf has the dyna d WS wall, so if you or anyone else did repeated WS's it'll steadily build up his DT. Only time I've ever seen enspell dmg drop to the low levels you mentioned was when he'd been hit by the same WS too many times in a row. If you're like me and you don't worry about zero Tp feed till he's at 51% hp, you can get locked fighting him with massive DT below 50%, cos it'll be too risky to do other WS's to reset the DT by that point. Even with my current method, below 50% I also have a SMN doin blood pacts to speed the fight up, but too many Flaming Crushes in a row, and he starts taking less dmg, so have to alternate Blood Pacts. |
