For the Ambuscade weapon upgrades, is there an 'easiest' pulse weapon to get (that isn't spending millions of gil on cells)?

Other option: Put on Emphorox buff to gain Potpourri while you CP or afk CP in a party. Then once you get 25k you can unlock the Legion category (just farm the final wave of Mul), then use that to buy a pulse wpn. That one is more of an over time thing if you leech CP.

There's easy and there's faster.

Nothing is easier than just getting the potpourri buff from Emporox in Reisenjima #8, and over time getting 25k from just earning XP. But its slow of course.

Spamming one of the T3 mobs in Escha Ru'Ann is going to be faster, but for many seeking these weapons they're gonna want to team up, meaning splitting odds at drops.

I think the fastest route is spamming the hell out of Nyzul Isle Uncharted during campaigns (the 99 cap, often called NNI), kill regular NMs on the climb and get ???weapons appraised. Last campaign I got 6 weapons that way, averaging 4 runs/night, 5nights/week for the campaign.

End of the day, its either grind or luck. Take your pick.

btw, the wiki is false : even if i didn't upgrade my idris with step 2 (10 000 beitetsu), i unlocked the last upgrade from step 3 and traded my 10 000 job points (i still don't remember doing that but proof is i did it)

You need to install pol.

First time you run it, it should open a window so you enter the new account information. Make sure to have in hands: Playonline ID and Playonline Password. Aside those 2 information, you also define your own login and password. Just make sure to put the information in the right place. Playonline information is given to you by SE and used only once, your login and password are create for you to log.

i've already updated pol and it tells me to go make a SE account to link with pol codes.

Question about Xoanon, Wiki says "Increases magic damage based on amount of TP consumed" means that when TP = 3000: Xoanon gains an additional Magic Damage +100, for a total of +341.[1]

From what I can recall, she doesn't use fury until 99. I swear I did some testing on this before but I can't find it now.

pretty good chance it doesn't. there are a lot of old weapons that have latents that activate when TP is less than 1000, pretty much confirming TP is set to 0 before WS damage is calculated.

Does resist ailments gear work against charm? Also does anyone know of any augmented gear thats adds resist charm that wouldnt be found on bgwiki filtering a gear slot? Are there any known caps to stacking resist X ailments? Are they specific hard % or is +15 like 15 mag eva but only to that status?

It should work on charm, but I have not specifically tested it for that.

Resist charm augments are... rare. All that comes to mind is the new unity gear augment on the Arete Del Sol earring. +15 resist charm.

I've seen some weird and rare resist trait augments on dark matter augments before, but only like, resist silence. I've never seen charm specifically. If you happen across one cool, but actively pursuing one would be nuts.

No known caps that I'm aware of.

Resist traits and resist status gear work as a flat % chance to fully resist the effect. Checks before meva is evaluated. Shows a "Resist!" message in the log when procc'd. Have resist charm+10? 10% chance to resist.

However... these effects have greatly reduced effectiveness vs anything that is impossible to gauge(NMs.) On these mobs the potency is reduced by 50%. So your 10% resist chance is now 5%. And basically anything that charms is going to be an NM of some sort.

Well, the question was about augments with resist charm, so I wasn't listing anything that had it as a regular stat.

That said, I'm curious about the potency of any number of resist charm items.. but I've never found a good test method. You'd need something that charms with a really high frequency, but that is actually resistable. Two of my prior test options turned out to be flat unresistable via resist charm gear or meva. -_-;

It's a long shot, but I test charm on Vir'ava. she charms like a ***, man. Let her level up like 5 times, the only move she uses is Beautiful Death.
I use her as my way of testing charm vs RUN.

I say the only move she uses. She still uses other moves, just not as often as AoE charm/doom.

What about beastmasters from old Dynamis?
