Trying to the the Sinister Reign solo fight for Teodore to get the pants. I believe I've read the solo fights drop loot less often but when they do it's better loot. Can anyone confirm this? I've done the fight about 10 times with no drop...just wanting reassurance I'm not wasting my time.

The single ones do drop loot, but you are definitely still wasting your time.

Won't ever play another job, so no point to save them. But yeah have to go back anyways now.

For mog gardening, do I have to do the stupid green moogle quests? This is already a chore and one of the worst things to be forced upon me. Or can I just keep leveling the mog garden without doing his quests?

His quests are part of the golden shovel requirements, if that’s what you’re up to.

Is there a fix for the issue where buffs go invisible at times?

Usually targeting someone else w/ similar buffs will help me get rid of this, or it'll fix when I zone.

Phaenopsis, if used, gives a gigantic evasion boost that will result in your avatars whiffing nonstop.

You could very well pop it and not even see the move used, in which case night won't have mattered. But, if it's used right off the bat, you'll almost certainly lose.

I personally arrange my T4s so albumen will be during the day, but if you're getting a group together for just albumen and you have extra pops available you could probably just go for it. Worst case by the time you're done failing you can reset and it'll be daytime.

Yes. A GEO -ra spell can as well. They have pretty low HP.

Not from my experience. You can also try stunning Utsusemi to avoid the adds completely.
But if you believe your nuker will be getting hit for any reason, Aquaveil/Blink/Stoneskin are great for minimizing interruptions.

I recently came back and did a lot stuff to get back on track, so far so good. However I’m still confused about the ilvl119 gear.

It is a Superior 1 weapon:
You basically need enough Job Points to unlock Superior Weapons/Armor

I Trio'd it with Epeo Run, Geo, Brd & Trusts whm x2 /cor.
Problem with trusts are the AoE's, Qualtada dies often enough to some random AoE. You could position Koru and Joachim/Ulmia far enough so only Zero Hour hits them.
1st time took me ~55min Floor 1-Gin kill, I didnt have AG'd Epeo, 2nd time was ~36min total with AG. Never been a 3rd time cause I went with a friend later and got the drop I wanted >.>.

So Run which is a good Tank & DD + Geo would make it work I guess.
And if you fail it's just a Tag lost, no harm really.

Watch sironeko on YouTube. He’s solo’d Gin on BLU multiple times and duo’d other bosses as BLU + BRD.

Can the necklaces from SoA be re-acquired if you drop them, or want to choose a different one?

I farm my own Gin solo with 5 Trusts. They actually help a lot. The only hard thing is mid boss. Glassy Craver causes me more problems than Gin himself.
Trusts are very HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE in the way they do what they are programmed to do, so you gotta try keep your trusts alive and buff them.
I find as long as i have capped haste from king and ulmia l, I'm fine to kill anything.

I go Run/Drk. Mass pull and fell cleave with ambu GA. Then just spam light skillchains on midboss.

My normal trust set up is yoran, king of hearts, ulmia, qultada and joachim.

You need to use Selhteus i cant spell his name on Gin so the trusts stay far away and avoid all AoE.

Once you can nail killing the midboss successfully you can easily kill Gin.

If you looking for easiest jobs, I'd say run + geo and whatever else you have if you have 3rd char.
