Someone in an old LS says to me about working on mythic:
"Oh yeah I just started on Alex I'm buying if they are cheap."
A month later:
Me: "Hey I got some alex I found in my inventory if you want it."
Them: "Oh I'm done with alex."
Me: "Where are you getting all this gil?"
Them: "Oh, I farmed pretty much all the alex except the few hundred you sold to me."
smh, is everyone in bliss of lying to each other about this?

Well, 200m isn't exactly difficult to make. 2 months to make 200m at a snails pace. And if you cheat, you can loop floors and make a shitload of alex in mere weeks.
But yeah, people buy gil. A lot of them. There wouldn't be a market if there wasn't. People aren't ashamed anymore. Buying gil used to be a sin, it would get you ostracized, now mothafuckas be like hell yeah I bought gil.

Something you may not have thought of, you can have many mules on one account, burn their THF or MNK to 99, and do salvage in sparks gear. Some people have friends who are willing to loan them their characters for an extra salvage run each day. I've collected almost 11K Alex in 3 weeks by just running salvage and dyna daily. I helped a friend build a relic in like 3 weeks in the process.
There's plenty of legit ways to amass large amounts of gil or items in a short time.
If jezzus forgave judas for selling his char for 30 imperial silver pieces, why cant jezzus just forgive rmts for the miracle of multiplication of gil?

My dilemma is bringing a mule from my old server to where I transfer to. So either way I am going to pay another transfer. Now if I can go back to my old server with profit that's not a bad idea.

Quite a few people do it. Not many admit to it. Just like everything else.
It's not not bad, it's not wrong. If you're transferring, then by all means you should buy up everything cheap and sell it on the new server for more money.

Its nothing wrong.
if paying to transfer is RMT, paying to have a bazaar mule is rmt
paying to have a $1 mule to hold additional gear is rmt
paying your own account fee is RMT
don't be stupid, making profit from transfers still requires planning, investment, and has potential loss.. it's not that much different than playing the buy/resell game on your own server, just has more potential
