Increased level cap adds macc, new gear, and potentially new spells, I'm not sure how that wouldn't be relevant to mages... the difference for melee is even more pronounced.

and of course he does have gayer HP and TP moves, but it still can be done, which makes it no more different as long as the ends justify the means. Either way, have fun slapping each other around I guess

I actually chucked a fast cast collar pre update when I realized it wasn't doing anything since Trait + 2 pieces was capped... then the update came and I've been kicking myself ever since.
EDIT: Found the post on BG wiki and testing done by Byrth and Mojo, which looked conflicting at first read through, but maximum recast reduction from fast cast was updated along with the cast time reduction.
-Casting time and other fast cast pieces is definitely plentiful enough for me to enjoy the update for the few times I am on Rdm, which comes down to select magian trials while bumming off my friend's blm for the others.
Small tip Kin37ix, just because I kick myself pretty much everyday for not doing it. If you actually plan on making a lot of Youtube videos ditch the music and do commentary, or at the very least use Youtube's free music audioswap tool.
I say that because most of my good videos have 3,000~30,000 views and I could easily probably of got partnership and been paid for the videos if I did commentary, but since almost all of my videos use stupid copy written music that'll never happen now.

I remember reading it actually was updated for recast, it caps at -40% now not -50%.
Definitely not true. The Fast Cast cap was tested via recast so we saw a 40% value there, that may be what you're thinking of, but recast still caps at 50%.
