Ive had it in my head that i wanted a tattoo to remember my time spent in vanadiel and was wondering, has anyone else got any ffxi tat's ? or great fan art i can use for inspiration.

my ideas so far are something like this>>

left wrist : fenrir head with his teeth bared
left forearm : collection of avatars excluding odin and alexandar
Left shoulder : full moon with a kind of solar eclipse with black flames and red /yellow hue
left upper arm : undecided ideally looking for some inspiration here to bring together my forarm and shoulder tat's



Anyone interested in doing some nice designs of the avatars or eclipse mentioned above would be greatly apreciated and ill hapily pay for your time if its proffessionally done ^^

I strongly advise against getting your whole arm done, or even the majority for that matter. Go for something fairly minimalistic that has meaning to you rather than a bold tattoo you will regret in 10 years time.

The left wrist Fenrir tatt sounds awesome.

i have allways wanted the eclipse tattoo with the flames and such so coupled with my love for ffxi and my desire to get a ffxi/ish tat i thought merging the 2 would be nice

2/ someone with the artistic ability to do similar drawings of fenrir,garuda,shiva,ramuh,titan,carbuncle,leviathan,diablos

I always thought it would be nice to have a tree of windurst on the inside of my upper arm. Something to remember but nothing huge and regrettable.

If you check eBay you can probably get the Japanese Ultimania guides and art books. If you don't know what those are, my understanding is they're basically strategy guides but they go all out there.

There's actually Yoshitaka Amano's entire art set from I to X for like 600 bucks, limited edition and everything. But back to the Ultimania guides, I know for sure they have at least three different ones dedicated to XI alone, and others just full of map/city concept art. Won't be able to read it but it'll be chock full of good ideas.

i've thought of getting a Midgardsorm Tattoo but i could never find something i liked. I suppose i could've had an artist draw something up before deciding but i haven't.
And i have a dragon and joked that is Seiryu and that i'll get the other sky gods, since i would get a phoenix that could be suzaku :P

Just get a tattoo of your character in their TP set. Then every update, get your skin burned and re-drawn.

Take a date back to your place, take your shirt off:

"Oh, my God, what's that on your back?"

love the bcnm circle idea - a band of all the national flags around the lower upper arm could be nice too i suppose ill have to start getting these ideas put onto paper soon ^^

Few years ago I got a tattoo of Carbuncle. I'd wanted a tattoo for the longest time and Carby's what I decided on. I couldn't find a decent pic online at all, so I drew one up myself. :3

Got it just above my ankle. And regardless how the tattoo artist mistook Carby's foot for his arm.. or something, and thus miscoloured it.. ;/ I still love it. <3 (Still considering getting that fixed when I get some extra money. >.> lol)

i got a few tats but my next big tattoo is going to be on my back and have a black yellow and red chocobo together with the red choco casting meteor and the black one flying around and the yellow yarking.
