Here ya go, I made a control file. It was really too simple. I can see why it would feel overwhelming to some people.
Just for the sake of comfort I felt this layout worked best. Played for about 4-5 hours getting some EXP with it. Movement with the analog stick really started to get uncomfortable because of it's placement. I'm using a first gen PSP so it may be different for people on the PSPgo.
http://pastebin.com/6rjnNkn4 Copy and paste it into Notepad, or Notepad++. Save it as a control file. If that's too complicated, copy and paste it over one of the ones that's already there.
Dpad = Movement
Analog stick = Camera and menu commands
L + R triggers = Ctrl Alt macros
Triangle = select window
Cross = Confirm
Circle = Cancel
Square = Menu
Select = Heal/Lock
Start = Tab
Edit: I just wanted to add, PSPdisp is a really really awesome utility, not just for doing this. I've used a lot of remote desktop software in the past. For a free utility I can't believe how much work has gone into making this as user friendly as possible as well as keep the latency high enough to use for gaming. I'll probably be using this to control my media center from now on.
