Hi i have been working on a Remoteplay to play FFXI on PSP from your PC. I have succeeded and everything works. I made a video showing it works. Your welcome to check it out...

He's probably using pspdisp, which is a program that lets you control your pc with the psp and also duplicates the screen.
But the version I have doesn't come with customizable controls, so I am curious on how he got this to work.

EDIT: You also need a modded psp with custom firmware to do this, but that's a given.

I programed my own control files to make it work.

I think its pretty dam awesome. lol Not only can you play off your PC but i found out how to remoteplay it from any wifi connection no matter the distance with no problems.

This right here made me promise to never buy a PSP. I already don't do enough work while at work. (At work right now lol.)
So are you gonna share or was this all just a look what I can do =p. I would like to play on my psp!

Does your psp have custom firmware? That'd be the first step. Then its installing pspdisp and getting it to work. Its pretty simple but if you have any questions, I can help.
The only thing I wouldn't know how to do is alter the controls so it works with FF 100%. PSPdisp comes with a few default control schemes but its not customizable.
Rekz would have to show us how to do that.

Hold one of the d-pad buttons to move to certain squares, then hit the face button that corresponds with the text characters position.
Now if only we could get this working on an Android phone. :P

Buying a PSP when I start working.
This sounds nice... especially if say you have a wireless keyboard.
Edit: Thanks by the way I've been too busy lately to bother with Homebrew or even playing my PSP. I am going to screw around and try playing Deus Ex with this lol

I got it working for myself. Well I got my PSP to display my desktop and was able to move the mouse and select/cancel/confirm keys from my PSP via USB. Only thing I can't do is move my character around on xi. Suppose this is where the control file change-up comes in. Also how to set it up via wi-fi would be awesome.
If needed I can PM the link (not sure if we're allowed to post links anymore~ forgot if it was in the forum rules) to the website that I followed to set up the PC. Don't know how to do the controls though.

haven't played with my psp since I was trying to get past deus fight in xenogears and my save file got corrupted by pops.
help give me a reason to pick it back up I would like to try this.

I cant get my PSP to connect to wifi through the program. Normally connecting works fine is it a firewall issue?
Edit: Connecting to "My IP Address" screen just hangs.

i think this is what your looking for.

and yes you haveot have a hacked firmware in order to make this work. it lists a the names of the firmwares for your psp. and im sure you can search somewere to locate and how to install said things. i betthers even videos someplace . but me o know nothing on how ot do said things.......
