Someone who is obsessed with Japan/Japanese Culture/Anime, etc. and attempts to act as if they were Japanese, even though they're far from it. They use Japanese words but usually end up pronouncing them wrong and sounding like total ***. You can find alot of these *** clogging up the forums of Gaia Online, hanging out in the international aisle of the supermarket, or crowding the manga section of your local bookstore. Synonym of wapanese.
Someone who is obsessed with what they think is Japanese culture. Basically screaming, crying, and being cute.

Japanese wanna-be who misuses words like desu/kawaii and is an extreme fan of anime/manga to the point where they would cosplay.

But idk about the Sakaguchi thing. He did only direct up to FFV. He is listed for "original concept" for the rest of them until he left, though. That can mean as much as an almost directing role or as little as "he started this franchise so he is being given credit even though he hasn't shown up to work in a week." The stories weren't even spectacular in his day, and the original game was just a knockoff of Dragon Quest. I do put some unverified merit to his name though, which is why I am interested in playing the Last Story if it ever comes out here.
I've never played the original DQ nor FF1. I know FF1's story, however, and it's more complex than anything I've experienced playing DQ (for the record the last (and only) DQ I played was 7)

I'd say that Dragon Quest 7's story was more complex than Final Fantasy 1...
The best Dragon Quest storyline is V's though, by far. You should pick that one up on the DS if you're into that kind of thing.

Then the DS remake of Dragon Quest V should sate your interest. It's definitely my favorite Dragon Quest game. I would avoid the remake of IV, but that's just my opinion. I started the remake of VI but never finished it, but it had a decent storyline for a Dragon Quest game.
