Which can make them seem omnipotent, but only temporarily. At least that's how it worked on MMO's back when I was a GM/developer. In the case of the Salvage dupe bug, they likely included specific logging of precisely the event in question well before they finalized the permanent fix, and then simply globally banned against everyone who popped up in that specialized log after X months. But to log every movement, every weapon swing, every spell cast, every zone, etc would be logistically impossible. I will say that with the amount of servers and HDD size avalible these days you can log every sigle event. I would not think most would be kept for longer than XX number of days. The problem is no one on our side knows how much SE does log nor how active they are to detect activity. I believe after nearly 10 years the GM(s) are pretty much there just so people have a sense of connection to customer service when they need them. I have made 3 GM calls in last month for certain issues, and like back in 04 there was that good olde "We need to investigate it" response while the action that caused the call went unchecked. Far as seeing client side to check logs or view data stored on your personal machine I strongly doubt they would do that. Considering minors do have access to the game and unless it is stated somewhere in the ToS I could see that being a huge issue. I'm not a fan of Modern Warfare (any of them) at all...to be honest I'm probably the world's worst FPS player but i do have a good time getting blown up once in a while lol I'm not exactly on topic am I? sorry :( hmm any Netflix suggestions? Idk how mixup they spaghetti code are... but sound to me like is a mess, 4.5h to find the bug in the code then fix it without causing another bug then compile, then BACKUP ALL SERVER then update all server, then TEST, is for sure a too short delay, you can expect a good 8 to 12h to fix it that way... To be honest, SE again took wrong decision, and should have just ROLL back the update and made this emergency update a 2h long max, and just release this update on next month. You know what going to insult me the most, is if they *** ROLL BACK the update @ JP time after screwing all NA play time trying to "quick fix it". I seriously hope this wont happen...
