Ukko's Fury Setup
Didn't forget anything, I don't separate the base and dDEX, I just say dDEX floors at 5%. It's the same thing either way.
the way you said it makes it sound like you can get 20% from dex though, which is a little misleading :(
Figured that...
Quote: Maximum base critical hit rate before gear and weaponskill bonuses is 25% (20% from dDEX, 5% from merits) ...would avoid such confusions. not really obviously or people wouldn't have said "i thought it caps at 15%"
Then they need to look up what the words "maximum" and "base" mean. In any case, it's clear now.

A maximum base before adding something else would assume that's the highest of the bottom value before bonuses possible; thus it would be including the 5% "base" for the 25% "base". However given that it's apparently a nonstandard way of expressing critical hit rate, I understand that it may have been difficult to understand. That makes sense. I should have put two and two together on that. Always thought of it as 5%base / 5% merits / and 0-15% Ddex. Never thought about throwing the base on to the Ddex and having 5-20%Ddex and 5%merits. Thanks for clearing that up Prothescar.
Apologies that it appeared condescending.
I always use dDEX as the most base form of critical hit rate. It makes more sense to me than using just a normal "base of 5%", as having dDEX floor at 5% similar to something like an fSTR min or a pDIF min makes more sense in my head. Maybe more of a logical example would be base critical hit rate having a floor just like accuracy does. Maybe it's just me. Oh well. Offline

Is the last TP and ws set posted by Tikal the best as of now or is there a better set within the 60 pages. I been going through a lot the pages at this point is a bit hard to follow and new gear is out.

Valk set is best unless you need the accuracy, since it's 3% TA instead of 3% DA and also gains 10 attack. If more accuracy is required you can use Ukkos fury is this: Unless you're gaining extra crit rate though blood rage or champions drink or atmas or something, at that point you switch to Hecatomb hands +1. Ogiers pants will be best if the 3% weapon skill damage is proven to carry over to all hits, or if you need the accuracy. If you need accuracy you should also switch belt with thunder belt (or one of the other appropriate ws belts. Offline

I unfortunatley never got a a valk breastplate or hauberk. Is the breastplate easier to obtain now with a low group or maybe another option I can use that would work? I was using an older TP set that had the Z tiara in it. Would you suggest spending the money to buy the Pop set for Fafnir and hoping hauberk will fall? I am currently putting a static together for Nyzle as my LS just did a 100 floor clear last night, so I should get my gear soon for that.
It's much easier to get the abjuration than it is to find someone selling the Breastplate -1. Armada is definitely still worth it until you can upgrade.

You can get to and kill Odin pretty easy with 5 people and 3 mules every 4th einherjar run. Just make sure 1 person has NIN and 1 has WHM and 1 has THF for fighting Odin. Breastplate is still a t0 synth for basically everyone everywhere on every server lol. If you're lucky there's 1 guy on your server who can t1 it and he's probably selling them for a lot if he can. Last I saw you needed 115 smithing to hit t1, but it might be higher. Armadaberk is worth getting because you will need the accuracy set sometimes, but you can buy Nidhogg pops for maybe 4-6m, and shout to sell beards, n legs, and a body, so it won't actually set you back that much getting the abjuration unless you're really unlucky. I got a Dalmatica+1 for my BRD mule buying Nidhogg pops and doing this, and it only set me back 2m total buying 4 of them. I posted this awhile back, it's probably useful to repost it and add a few words so people don't ask again for another 4-5 pages. Minimum acceptable: I assume this is where you will be when you start, it's all easy abyssea drops and a blitz ring: Low-Mid-level: You should switch Ninurtas for speed belt though, since you need one of those to make Phos belt anyway. But this basically switches belts, 1 ring and body. High-Mid-level: This also functions as your +ACC set to use forever: Best: Bismarck.Bloodbathboy

I have a question. For Ukkos ACC belt. Should I use thunder or light?? Or are they the sane bonus to DAM and ACC?!
Yes BBB, the elemental belts don't weigh heavier by element, they are all the same, based on WS element.

You could get rid of some of the store tp depending on how much regain you're getting, would depend on your schs though. Then in voidwatch if you're using certain atmacites (names are escaping me at the moment.. think pil's and ig alima's, but I may be wrong.) you can get rid of phos belt for windbuffet... Granted I like to have kaggen atmacite cus it has a little acc and regain for stupid proc weapons like one handed axe, sword, great sword, or scythe if i'm stuck doing them (my ***'s way underskilled).
It's uncapped haste, relies on a single extremely expensive piece, loses the AF3+2 gloves Restraint bonus, and it's a 7-hit.
It might work in Neo-Nyzul but I doubt it's anywhere near optimal. Cerberus.Tikal said: » It's uncapped haste, relies on a single extremely expensive piece, loses the AF3+2 gloves Restraint bonus, and it's a 7-hit. It might work in Neo-Nyzul but I doubt it's anywhere near optimal. Offline

My favorite part about the gear is the pole grip and fire bomblet. My favorite part about the set is the 7 hit build it offers. Both of these combine to make the awesomest TP set ever IMO. But seriously, this set isn't very good at all, sorry. What would you suggest as the first phorcys piece for general uses, to get?
Ramuh.Austar said: » Body. Phorcys korazin is the most broken piece of Nyzul gear is why. Thaumas take a close second though.
