Spank da monkey! Kill those Opo's too.
I gotta lower dem graphics a little, or plug in my 360 controller, never really liked the m&k controls.
Just lower your shadows a bit. Shadow rendering kills framerates.
I keep shadows and AA(I think) turned off and almost never have any issues with it and it still looks pritty damn good

I find that FFXIV requires a monstrous amount of processing power and graphics capability and I don't really understand why, seeing as TERA is better looking and I can run that smoothly with most settings at max. To get the same frame rate with FFXIV I have to run low settings. The resource management for FFXIV is terrible. Don't really think TERA is better looking. It's more fruity. :3

It's poorly optimized because they can't optimize it. That's why they didn't release 14 on PS3 yet because they have to rebuild the engine just to be able too. That 's what I meant to say :D Asura.Dominate said: » Don't really think TERA is better looking. Opened this thread, read sagi's post then clicked XIV back on top... Through the NM fight I had a thrusting sagi distracting me right next to the window XD
This will sound stupid, but check to see if the device muted itself. My microphone has a knack for doing that to me.

Do any of the speaker icons in the playback device menu have green bars when music is playing?
Finally got my scratched up disc to install Windows properly, now to see if everything's working right. <_<
It's on your laptop right? Most modern laptops have internal speakers, so if they're not reproducing sound, then it's likely an internal hardware issue if your software is all up to date. You can purchase a cheap USB sound card for like $20 to get you by if worse comes to worse.
