Your fault for following too closely. Why are there so many *** running around this site? You have no idea how close I was following or why the person in front of me was braking. Thank you for that tip though it was very enlightening. I have never heard of this before. I always thought it was prudent to follow as close as possible. Thank you for setting me on the correct path. I really do appreciate that.
I dumped my bike today! Of course I am grumpy! ;p
Sorry for beint curt, but I get really annoyed by snide remarks from people who have no real reason to be *** to me. Normally I would ignore it. Just.... grumpy I guess. I've seen so many bikers fall over :/ then I think I'm glad I'm not that guy and have a car lol
lol,
Well let me officially set the record straight so 5 other people who were not there can post snarky remarks about out of context 5 word quotes from this very post. I was not following closely, Traffic was flowing normal, I was considering changing lanes, so I looked behind me to see if it was clear. It wasn't, by the time I was looking ahead of me, mere milliseconds mind you, They were stopped dead. This was not in no-wheres ville, It is Los Angeles where traffic is a lot less predictable. If I was not as experienced a rider as I am I would have been dead. So I am still a little racked from the whole thing. Spence I am sorry for flying off the handle. But your comment was literally joking about my death. I know that you didn't realize it at the time. So again I apologize. I don't think I could ever ride a motorcycle or be a passenger on one, I would be way too scared.
Desperate times etc...
Gas is expensive, and L.A. traffic eats a lot of gas. Oh hey guys, what's going---oh...I see...well.. I'll just uh... come back later then.
Not-so-random thought: I'm still bitter about Square-Enix. It's fine, and I wasn't trying to be callous. It's a simple truth. I still stand by what I said.
Well, if there weren't any traffic around and driving a scenic route then I would probably enjoy it.
I get extremely nervous when driving in traffic in a car, just couldn't imagine how I'd feel on a bike. Fairy.Spence said: » It's fine, and I wasn't trying to be callous. It's a simple truth. I still stand by what I said. ffxiv emergency maint =/
KKKAAAAAaaaAAAAAHHHHHHNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!
I was scared to hell when I rode my first one, but I did it anyway while just thinking of it as a bigger, more dangerous bicycle. lol
Been riding one (for leisure, not main transportation) for 6 years and so far, the only time I dropped it was when I was turning in an intersection near my house. Someone had spilled loose gravel in the middle of the intersection and as soon as I hit it, it was basically like hitting ice. I didn't really get hurt as I was only going about 20 and managed to jump off as it was going down. Scary as ***but that was about it. Only thing that happened to my bike was the left-side mirror got bent and a few scratches on the fenders. I usually don't take mine over 70 and that's in the rare chance I'm on the interstate. If I'm on a normal highway (55 speed limit), I'll usually go about 45-50. Gives me plenty of reaction time as long as I don't follow any closer than four car lengths. I think not having the protection of a box of steel around you makes you a bit more quick to react though.. Even when I was fixing to wreck our car I wasn't moving as quickly as I would on the bike when I was fixing to get hurt. Yeah my grandfather made sure to tell about that. When he was young he hit a wild boar on a gravel road with his harley. Stopped him dead still like a brick wall and he went flying over the handle bars, broke all the bones in his left hand and had gravel embedded into his skin. I won't take my bike on a gravel/dirt road and even then I really never use the front brake, unless I'm really needing some extra stopping power, then it's a light squeeze. Yup, at the time I was aware not use it, but it happened so fast it was reflexive. After that though, that reflex was permanantly buried.
Back brake does the majority of deceleration and the front brake I use only to stay stopped while at a light if I might be stopped on an incline. G;LKB.MNVMGLVBLHJCLJV.KHFGL.H;

Or if you are a real man you use your thumb. Same solutions can be used for many problems, just use your imagination for finding applicable situations. american quarter

Ain't never (triple negative?) seen a camel spider before? That is my definition of a huge spider.
