I've never been much of a reader, as fascinating as all of this literature is. I usually dwell on the writing end of the English spectrum. So, with most of these classic titles, I'm playing catch up, although I do love me some Shakespeare. Macbeth = teh awesomezorz.

Also, it's interesting to see just how many references have been taken from Beowulf and used in modern entertainment.

Grendel - Graendal from WoT

A few others I saw, but I forgot already. lol

Same. Senior AP English? That was an easy dual credit class.

Well you have to think Beowulf is from old Anglo-Saxon times and was originally written in old English. A language which is very similar to the Northern German languages(Nordic). Long story short Anglo-Saxon England is closer to being Nordic than to being the England most people think of.

But I didn't take the Exam.
My essay writing was bleh. Didn't even take English 101 when I was at Uni so I'm taking it now.
