not sure which place is better right now :/ Odin.Liela said: » Psycho Slip said: » Odin.Liela said: » By the time my children are adults, if it continues in this pattern, anything they do or say could be misunderstood as terrorism. Not cool. Wouldn't really matter where you live, the whole world seems to be going to ***, even if they're not directly involved, if say, Iran/China/N. Korea do start lobbing nukes or start up a war, it could easily affect every country. I've been saying for a long time that our rights are being slowly stripped away, so it's not like I'm just oblivious to that, but I'm more worried about how the world is going to be in general for my son when he's older, than the noose the government is putting on our rights. Aw Slip. You are right, just like usual. It doesn't make me feel better for my future babies, but it's true. Give freedoms back, stop spending on unnecessary programs, etc. I can dream, right? Time will tell. It always does, never trust time with secrets. the thing is, history has always shown that great empires can and will fall at some point. and at this moment it feel like the same is happening for the US =/

Aw Slip. You are right, just like usual. It doesn't make me feel better for my future babies, but it's true. I will still have one as soon as I can talk my husband into it. :D Anyways, he says that we have to be settled in first, so since we are moving to our new jobs this summer, I say we should wait a year to be sure we are settled in where we want to be. During that year (starting this summer) I'll get off caffeine, start eating my fruits and veggies, increase my daily intake of folic acid, and start taking prenatal vitamins and exercising more. That way I'll be all ready and prepared for when we are ready to try to have a baby! Wheee! :D And if for some reason we can't have a child on our own, I'd be perfectly happy to adopt, too. Edit: Also, look at my niece! My niece is amazing! Hearing more Nos than Ayes
edit: I'm starting to read that the amendment that was No'd on was supposed to make the bill better (giving immunity to Universities and such) DAMNIT I thought this was on the entire bill at first. Does no mean good? I missed something then heard them start voting lol
Also are they just voting on an amendment and not the bill itself? Its on the amendment, I believe.

If your stepmom is gunna try giving you hell over the name just remind her that you are the one squeezing out a human so it's your call. XD Cerberus.Kalyna said: » Its on the amendment, I believe. So are they just going to keep trying to amend it now and the bill will forever be in limbo? -.- My bad. That's on the Amendments to the amendment, which would've made SOPA much better.
I have a bad feeling about this now. Only the government gets to vote on this, oh yeah
Now they're voting on the actual amendment, I think.
More No's than Aye's Let's hope it stays this way (with many no's) when they vote on the act itself. 29 no 4 aye is what I got
I heard something about studying abroad.
If they *** things up that won't let me study abroad I will be so pissed. SOPA is generally a good idea but it seems like it's also going to penalize websites for things they didn't do, which is very unfair. What part of SOPA is a good idea?
well its nice to have good hygiene... oh SOPA, not SOAP
anti-piracy, sect =P
SOPA is spanish for soup
just a fyi ^^ Cerberus.Kalyna said: » anti-piracy, sect =P Very arguable, very arguable indeed. Bismarck.Misao said: » SOPA is spanish for soup just a fyi ^^ its also a typo of soap~ This is like watching a very slowly developing horse race, but then the horse took an arrow in the knee.

The bottom of my foot itches and I can't scratch it without tickling it but I don't want to be tickled. ><
Iroooooooooooooooooo
Cerberus.Irohuro said: » i really wish that politician was an unpaid, volunteer position, requiring diplomas in other fields like business, technology, science, foreign relations, etc It would be much easier to trust them if this were true. Not even the diplomas part, just that they were unpaid. It seems like that way only people who actually wanted to help the country would become politicians. |
