I dont get the logic of some people.

An employee did a laptop repair through Lenovo for their device without notifying IT (me). They had to pay out of pocket since it was water damage to the screen, not covered by warranty, and didnt run that by finance either. It was a $1500 repair.

This happened in FEBRUARY, and theyre asking for reimbursement today.

Company I used to work for started a profit sharing program. I hadn't even passed probationary period and still got $1200. The funny thing was they said it's based on time with the company yadda yadda and encouraged people to share how much they got, as opposed to the "No discussing wages, that's a no no!!" *finger wag*
One of the guys had been there 5 years and got just under 6k. He was like "This will go to my house fund. How do people save up enough to get houses for $350,000+ anyway?" I was like "Uhhhh...." and explained mortgages. I was curious and had to ask "Totally none of my business, so feel free to tell me to piss off, but how much do you actually have saved up then?" "Oh, it's no big deal. But I have just over 62 thousand in the bank and can deposit this after work. It just felt like nothing when I thought I had to save 350k to buy a house."

What kind of "censored word" "well run country" allows "highly civilized engineers and doctors" to flood in and "grief" "low level characters", doing literally nothing to stop them for 20 years and then have the "censored word" nerve to stop normal people using imgur and other websites under the guise of protecting "low level characters".

I have a Model Y. I can get in my car, touch the FSD button while in my driveway and let my foot off the brake. The car will back out of my driveway and drive me 100% of the way to work (55 miles) with no take overs 99.9% of the time.

I typically don't do this as it does a lot of things way too slowly in the name of safety. I usually take over at stop signs because of the EU mandate that autonomous driving must come to a complete stop at the stop line. Sounds great on paper, causes nothing but problems in real life. This isn't Tesla's fault, this is government interference. Prior to that ruling few years back, FSD was natural AF at stop signs.

I could go on and on about autonomous driving, but my point is do some research and don't just belive everything you read. Do you really think Elon Musk is responsibe for every single thing that happens at Tesla? I work at General Motors and I have yet to see Mary Barra get involved in my design reviews. CEOs don't have anything to do with this kind of stuff except to green light more money to be invested.

In a supposedly first world country like the UK, websites have now started censoring all access to all content from IP address originating in the UK after the UK passed a law requiring all websites that provide content to UK IP address to require ID confirmation that the person viewing that content is over 18.

Great, you will say, no more porn for kids.

Except no, porn access was already heavily restricted and you had to sign up to a government list just to get unfiltered internet access like you're some kind of *** criminal. ISPs added everything they didn't like to the "porn filter" like VPNs, proxies, competing content services and etc just because they can so you don't really have a *** choice but to say "I want porn pls okthx".

What this new law did is cause image sharing sites like imgbb to show a blanket "Image not viewable in your region" to any IP address from the UK since they cannot determine whether something is legal for someone under 18 to view in the UK or not (user provided content..).

Yay censorship.

Imagine being a US citizen and trying to look at, idk, reddit or X or facebook and a popup comes up saying "Show me your ID" redirecting you to a government approved company's site.

Everyone should use Tor browers and run their own Tor nodes on every machine available to them to *** with the tor nodes run by surveillance institutions.

What makes him so successful as a con man is that he actually does things like space x and tesla. Part of the con is he promises far more than he can deliver.

I am not some Elon Musk megafan, but like it or not he's done more to advance technology than nearly any other person alive.

Elon definitely jumps the gun on announcing things, but what has he promised that he hasn't delivered or is actively working on delivering?

If you're going to say the Roadster... You have no idea the amount of legal hoops Tesla will have to jump through to manufacture and sell a literal JET POWERED SUPERCAR.
