If XI had gambits for trusts SE would make a lot less money off multiboxers.

I had to do some background research on exactly what they are arguing and negative review bombing about, it looks like it's mostly Han Chinese Supremacists who are favoring Ming dynasty(A Han Chinese dynasty), who aren't happy that the game presents Qing Dynasty(A Manchu people dynasty that destroyed Ming) in a more positive way in the game. So they are spreading game hate on social media due to this. Then negativity spreads on Chinese social media like wildfire which leads to tons of angry mobs negative review bomb.
Negativity spreading like wildfire is an internet phenomena. Its based on the human tendency to dogpile multiplied by the massive and instant connectivity of the interwebs. Its rather a pity that positivity doesn't spread like that too.

Official position? I don't think so. PRC Constitution clearly said all ethic groups are equal:

Honestly I feel CCP are more likely to ban those angry mobs starting dumb drama about Qing in a video game for "peace", than promoting Han supremacy which creates more tension and chaos. If there is one thing CCP hates the most, it'd be chaos and tension in the society that could potentially affect their power stability.
Edit: obviously, when certain ethic group could potentially threaten their power stability, then they may ignore what the constitution said. Because they generally put power, control and social stability on a much higher priority than ideology. That does not mean their official stance is Han supremacy however.
I am not a fan of all the constant sequels of stuff that never needed a sequel
