Im tired seeing Diddy memes, and I still didnt even care to look why this ***is so popular.

No other topic supposelly more relevant was revisited so much about the case with Diddy.

So, can anyone summarize why is this story in few lines? I know he was arrested, and that the cops found lots of oil in his house. Still, why hes being talked so much for so long?

Name any rapper from late 90's, early 2000's (or lots of musicians honestly at this rate), male or female. He drugged em, *** em, filmed it. Now the kicker is there's 120 new charges including a 9 year old victim.
Take every meme, story, allegation that was brought up against Michael Jackson and imagine a person that could make MJ look like Gandhi. Then square it.

That's Diddy

We are still surviving down here, but personally doing better. Our power, water, and internet access is restored, gas has also been restored and there is fuel everywhere now. The areas around us aren't so lucky. We have a ton of resources/aid coming but everything I've seen to date is from individuals loading cars, driving up, and dropping them off. I think most of the aid is being handed out closer to Asheville, but the smaller towns are still in big trouble and a lot of them are flat out unreachable on car. We're trying to help where we can and running for supplies in/out, but Monday is going to be a rough day, temps are supposed to drop into the 40s this week and there is a shortage of cold weather gear for those stranded. We've been running blankets and sleeping bags back/forth from larger cities trying to get enough in distribution but it's going to be hard.

Individuals are loading up helicopters and flying things in, along with performing rescues and getting people out of remote areas. Others are loading mules up and hauling things back/forth. Some are hiking in and out, but vehicle access to these areas is days or months away in some cases. People here are pretty resilient and often self sustaining due to the terrain but many aren't or can't be even if they had the choice.

I'll also never complain about Facebook again. There are people who are alive right now because they got a call for help out and I've seen a multitude of groups organizing to bring assistance. The fact the app continues to retry posting things when it fails likely helped a LOT, iMessage/text and a lot of messaging formats just fail after a few minutes, some others keep trying. As a developer, I've long thought there was a safety issue with that when you got into this exact case. When cell signal is in/out and very limited, the sheer fact messages kept trying to be sent is probably something that helped a lot compared to text messages. I was able to get messages out on some platforms due to this.

Anyway. Here are some photos.

This is from the kitchen in my Dad's house:

The house will likely be condemned and bulldozed. This happened 4 hours from the storm ending and so water just poured into the house, all through the flooring into the basement, destroyed wiring, and so on.

This is a common sight. Apparently most flood deaths occur in vehicles (according to the wx radio anyway), if you don't know how to cross water in a vehicle....don't. There are a lot of swiftwater rescues here in normal circumstances due to this very thing, people trying to drive and getting stalled in the water then they have to be rescued (the person in this vehicle was fine).

This is one of the main roads in/out and is part of the reason access is challenging, all roads in/out except one were severely damaged with a projected repair date of Sept 2025. This also makes getting aid to TN VERY hard.

This is a common sight around here and why access is so difficult:

This is further north in Asheville. The first photo is an area called Biltmore Village that used to have a ton of businesses, places to eat, etc. Some of those are just gone now.

This isn't even close to the worst of it. I could go on for pages about it. The death toll will likely continue to rise for a while and I doubt it'll ever be fully known.

Man, that's some awful devastation.

Glad you made it through OK.

The incredible thing is how everyone is just...doing what is needed and helping each other.

I couldn't even get my clothes on and chainsaw fast enough before a truck showed up and cut my neighbors out. The truck was gone before I could even get over there and this was within an hour or less of the storm ending. My Dad's driveway was cleared and no one knows who did it, he just showed up to get some things and it was opened.

Grading companies are going around and fixing roads, they started doing this within hours. Tree and landscaping folks are just clearing trees then leaving so people can get out. The local barber was giving free hairwashes, food trucks are setting up and running free food, folks with Starlink were setting up hotspots in parking lots, and the list just goes on and on.

The local country station straight up stopped playing music so they could help communicate information, this and the CB were the only outside contact I had for several days, but they are also letting people call in and it's *** eerie. "Bob, if you are out there, know we love you and are looking for you.", "Please tell xyz that abc is ok and safe just waiting it out", and so on. They were online within hours and were telling people what was coming, what to avoid, where fuel was, etc.

It's the one bright spot in all of this and it's been *** amazing to witness.

It looks like another hurricane is already forming and tracking the exact same path that Helene did. Milton is gonna hit western Florida by the end of the week. It's wild how fast they can form in the Gulf of Mexico now. They usually come from the south Atlantic and move up the coastline, but now it seems like they can come from anywhere. At least this one is going to be smaller.

I saw the track projection. Looks like it will cross the peninsula a bit north Orlando flowing I 4.

Stay away from Disneyland and Daytona.

Poor Tampa.

I've been petrified of another storm since the day after. One of the last alerts I got before losing cell service was that another storm formed in the Atlantic. It would be really bad, not just due to the existing damage, but also because we have a ton of line workers, volunteers, etc sitting here sleeping in tents. It would be devastating.

This one isn't in the Atlantic, it's in the Gulf off the Yucatan. Expected to get up to a Cat 2 and hit Florida on Friday.

That hurricane intensified to a Cat 4 in just a day, heading right for Tampa and Orlando. Water temperatures are just too high.

I'd hate to assume you're using an event that'll destroy homes, livelihoods, and lives to plug a political agenda. But, if that's the case, how do you suggest we fix the water temperatures?

All of our precious murder chickens, er... geese are heading south for the winter, so we can have them each bring a small piece of ice from our igloos; all Canadians live in them24/7/365 don't let big media fool you. But if each one of them carried a piece of ice with them and dropped it in the water, it would cool it right off.

Get the damn weather machine updates installed in a timely manner so this whole season of water manipulation isn't delayed, we have big money riding on these wave height bets

The spoiled rich enjoy the hurricanes because such large swings in oceanic climate result in stronger patterns for better yacht racing worldwide^^
