Just heard about that slap tho, time to read up on some drama. I stopped watching the Hollywood award shows ages ago, nothing like watching a bunch of rich people pat each other on the back as they spout far left crap to people. A slap can be worth it tho.

reminds me of those shows with celebrities sitting and smiling thru a constant stream of personal attacks directed at them and their relatives. pay must be real good.
if you do this to a stranger it'd be considered humiliating, insulting and frowned upon. do it on a stage with a mic in your hand while beeing taped and it's suddenly a roast, your a comedian and it's perfectly socially acceptable. one would think beeing insulted and humiliated in public makes it worse, context can sometimes be weird like that.

I mean it was battery, the assault was after. Besides that they're right, he should have been removed by security and arrested on scene. Props to Chris, guess he's just used to everyone hating him.
Stand up comics make a living cracking jokes about celebrities. If you are a celebrity, you have been the target of many of these jokes. Some you get to hear in person, some you just hear about. It's part of the life, not all of the jokes are good, a lot of them are pretty bad.
But you can't walk on stage and slap the comic because you didn't like their joke. Now do all comics have to worry about some random fan trying to be the next Will Smith?
