On an unrelated note, I finally hit max MGP (9,999,999) at the Gold Saucer in XIV with nothing left to buy. It was probably the most underwhelming completion of a long-term goal that I've ever experienced.

I guess I could try to psych myself up more.... After all, I just freed up TWO WHOLE MINUTES EVERY DAY, and I get to set a new FREE TELEPORT POINT!
Free tele point???

I have been maxed on MGPs for a while now and no new free teles in sight.
Sorry, I guess I need to clarify that. If you use the security token then you can set one aetheryte as a free destination. Mine was at the Gold Saucer, and therefore I could set it somewhere else.
wait ...

I have 1 home point and 1 free tele. I have always been able to change either, I thought this was normal.

Also, to the GS is free from any starter city &, I think, Ishgard. GS to Ul'dah is also free.

As for the Ukraine war thing, it's one of those rare situations where a vast majority of the world's civilian population is at least relatively on the same page, so offhanded comments are unlikely to spark grief. Unless, of course, there is anyone here with pro-Putin sentiments, at which point we would probably need to avoid the topic entirely....
I could talk for HOURS about what does it all mean Ukraine department but I fail to see, no mater how many might agree with me, how it is mot going to get political RFQ.

For instance suddenly a lot of "patriot" social media accounts in a whole lot of countries have gone dark.

Yeah, I could change it at any time, but I had to go there every day so I made that my free point. Capping MGP just means I hardly ever have to go back until they have new stuff.

As for how free it is from any given place, I can't say. I don't spend much time in the starter cities, but it's not free from the places I frequent the most.

I think the regulars in here are smart enough to know where the line is (usually). Mentioning that you can't get the figures you usually buy due to sanctions is pretty tame. Talking about social media accounts that you think are Russian bots would be pushing it, though.

Politics and religion are just fertile breeding grounds for opinions, objectivity, and heated arguments. If something is stated subjectively, it shouldn't be an issue. I don't think anyone would be offended by a random thought about the impact current events might have on a particular service.

Putting blame on one party or another for the impact is another thing, because another person could have a different perspective. And especially because politics happen to be involved, would likely spawn an argument.

I always wondered how people had thousands of posts on this forum, but then I found this "Random Thoughts" thread and my post count basically quadrupled what it was before I found it. I get that some people have been around for over a decade on this forum and in this particular thread so the math checks out.

I was just... "why do I get singled out". So confusing. So much is lost in text-only communication. Not many inflections of humor get through, I guess.

Mostly confused. Confused by most things. It may be time to put me in a nursing home so I don't get lost.

It typically takes me between 5-10 minutes per paragraph because I try really, really hard to imagine the various ways in which it could be read. My ultimate goal is to never make someone feel worse than before they read my post. Oftentimes I'll delete whole responses because I can't make it sound the way I want to.

I'm really, really bad at doing things on-the-fly. Like, I barely even talk in real life because by the time I've revised what I want to say in my head it's been 12 minutes and we're way past that topic already.

But I also know that it doesn't matter because when people are already in a bad mood they'll twist the words or ignore whole parts of sentences to make it seem bad. That said, I also tend to find the good in people because I always try to assume the best. Why ruin somebody's good mood or make their bad mood worse?

Still. I'm sure it works sometimes...

When I first started posting in forums I was really, really careful about everything I said. I still get some anxiety about it from time to time, but eventually I realized that even putting a shred of thought and introspection into a post puts you leagues ahead of most people on the internet. It helps when you feel like you "know" people, though, which is why I always end up in here with you weirdos ;-)

I really dislike when people stick around a good camp too long and over-leveled in it, but won't leave because they don't know where to go next. Resubbed today and am enjoying this wonderful feeling now. Funny thing is that I'm outclaiming and killing more quickly than them. Rotating many Echad Rings and hoping each time I come back that they will be gone. Nope. They are probably not even getting exp chains anymore, but I don't want to say anything to them because they might get pissy and stick around longer just out of spite. Ugh.

Edit: Oh praise Lort Jeepus! They left!

Double edit: Someone else showed up right away.

Well... at least since I have so many Echad Rings, I won't have to be here long, I guess. >.<

The stuffy weather is really horrible to work.

Even more without AC. Im using just a vent but even that doesnt work really well when the temperature is close to the bodys

I'll complain a lot about the cold, but I'd always prefer that to extreme heat. I can always turn on a space heater, drink some tea, or put on an extra layer to warm up, but it's hard to keep cool when it's hot and muggy outside.

I have the least ground possible to stand on with this sentiment and likely still have the most total posts on here. Any time this is brought up by someone it’s self deprecating when I chime in, not a dig at you.

I felt a tug from dark space about post counts and decided to travel back to this side of the universe to try to reclaim my no-life crown.
1 post down.. 70,000+ to go?!

Jk, but it was good timing to read that. Came back to my alt on xi again and decided to read forums before bed.

Hello! how are you? :O

I don't even think coffee does anything for me anymore. Only McCafe for some reason seems to do anything. But for my everyday coffee I drink it mostly because I like the taste and it helps keep me warm in my cold little office.

Just once i started my day without my coffee, and that day was pretty disastrous in terms of sports performance.

I cant really say if the effect is from the substance itself or just psychological but it does make a difference to me

Maybe some high sex drive can be interpreted as a selfish or egocentric approach because the one who wants to do it wants to…. Feel good i guess. Sometimes maybe neglecting the amorous aspect of a relationship.

BUT it can also be interpreted as a strong desire to keep the human race alive, or some unconscious love toward the offspring.

So, that high sex drive is actually an heroic act.

Let the orgy going on

The human race wasn't all bad. As a species we achieved tacos, Final Fantasy Tactics, Ron Pearlman, and Iceland.

But we did too many other things that overwhelm those successes. It's time to call it quits. We had a good run. Let the lizards evolve opposable thumbs next and see how that goes.
