Am I right to say NFTs aren't the item itself so much as a receipt of ownership of the item?

More or less yes. You pay for the right to say you own that particular minted piece of blockchain, you do not pay to say you own the image.

We had tacos last night. There were 12 shells. I jokingly said "that's 6 each!"

We both ate 6 tacos >_>;

They were extremely good, too. Ground venison browned with onions and garlic, topped with some 1882-brand mango habanero sauce, some homemade cowboy candy (sweet-pickled jalapenos), a little shredded lettuce and cubed tomato, and a habanero-infused nacho blend of shredded cheese.

Oh neat. The 6500XT came out (yesterday? today? whatever)

I went to get one AND THEY ACTUALLY HAD THEM (17). At MSRP AND there wasn't 600 people in line like the 3060 launch.

Now to scalp it for $800
